It was clear that Huang Shi had realized that something was awfully wrong with the situation. Even though Huang Shi had tried to assault Yan Fei and she was the granddaughter of a Grand Elder, he was also the son of the current sect master.
This meant that even if something like that had happened, he would only be crippled at worst, not killed. This meant that after being crippled, someone had taken the liberty to finish the job and kill him off, not even giving him the opportunity to recover.
Whoever orchestrated this clearly didn't want to take any chances.

The high collar of her silken robes couldn't hide the impressive swell of her bosom, which rose and fell rapidly with her labored breathing, while the fabric clung to the narrow curve of her waist.
With skin as smooth as jade and eyes full of tears, she stared at him in disbelief, clearly she had rushed here the moment he awoke.
