The long search dragged on, hope fading with every mile, yet Sayo's strength quietly took root in that soil of despair and flourished. Tempered day and night by the Body Tempering Furnace Mk-II, his chakra now brushed the lower edge of Jōnin levels, and his mastery of every Ninjutsu element climbed to a new summit.

The sharp swiftness of Wind Release and the steady defense of Earth Release were no longer mere techniques; they felt like extra limbs. A thought, and they answered. The Fierce Wind Palm's edge grew surgical; Earth Flow Walls rose faster and tougher; in a pinch, he could even snap off a Headhunter Jutsu to open a window for himself or a teammate.

But the real leap came from the power buried in his bloodline, awakened by stubborn wit and the engineering will: Magnet Release (Jiton).

Theories rehearsed in candle-lit tents and small-scale drills at last met live combat, buoyed by abundant chakra and a body that could finally shoulder the strain. While crossing an iron-rich gravel basin, they again stumbled on an Iwagakure recon squad—one Jōnin and two Chūnin. Enemies locked eyes; no words, no warning—battle exploded.

Captain Iryō met their Jōnin head-on, twin blades whirling Wind Release against the enemy's Earth Release in a grinding stalemate. Lucado and Xu strained every nerve to pin the other two Chūnin, but the pressure was crushing. Sayo, the roaming striker, harassed with his "Spider" puppet and fenced them in with Earth Spears. The fight seesawed, stuck fast.

He had to break the deadlock. Sayo's gaze sharpened, sweeping across the dark-ochre, iron-laden sand beneath his feet. Now.

His fingers flashed through an odd, self-devised seal. Chakra—half wind-sharp, half earth-heavy—twisted together in a complex resonance. An invisible, uncanny field rippled out with him at its heart.

"Magnet Release: Iron Sand Drizzle!"

He barked the name and whipped his right arm forward. From the ground rose a humming cloud of glittering black grains. Called by magnetic force, the iron sand lifted like a swarm of enraged hornets, folding into a dark tide that shot straight for the Iwagakure Jōnin trading blows with Iryō.

The air hissed like tearing silk. The Stone Jōnin, busy countering Iryō's flurry, never saw the out-of-category strike coming. When alarm finally sparked, the iron storm was already on him.

"What the—?!" Panic cracked his voice; he tried to armor up with Earth Release.

But magnet-driven sand carries both blunt impact and piercing magnetic flux. Thud-thud-thud! Grains punched through his hastily molded earthen shell. Each fleck was trivial, yet thousands of them, laced with disruptive magnetism, flooded him with pain and jumbled his chakra network. His stance buckled.

"Now!" Shocked though he was, Iryō's combat instinct seized the opening Sayo's bizarre trick had carved. "Wind Release: Vacuum Great Ball!"

A compressed sphere of vacuum slammed into the staggered Jōnin's exposed core. Boom! The Stone elite screamed, chest caving in, and slammed to the dirt, finished. With their leader downed in a blink, the two remaining Chūnin faltered, hearts shattered.

"End them!" Iryō snarled. Together with Sayo, Lucado, and Xu, they cut down the rattled pair before they could flee.

The skirmish ended faster than any before. Iryō leaned on his sword, breathing hard, eyes fixed on Sayo and the faint magnetic shiver still making iron grains dance around the youth's boots.

"That… was Magnet Release?" Iryō's voice came hoarse with disbelief—the legendary kekkei genkai of the strongest Kazekage. How could it bloom in a boy barely eleven years old?

The field around Sayo faded; suspended sand hissed to the ground. He gave a small, clinical nod. "Barely the first step—still rough."

Lucado and Xu crowded in, staring at him like he'd sprouted a second head. Manipulating iron sand to wound from a distance? None of them had even heard of such a thing outside of legends.

In the skirmishes that followed, Sayo's nascent Magnet Release became the squad's ace-in-the-hole. Whether it was shredding an enemy's seals mid-cast or magnetically spoiling the flight of a kunai, Sayo's odd angles and brutal disruption turned fight after fight in their favor.

The boy once dismissed as frail had grown into the team's indispensable spearhead—master scout, field medic, and now bearer of a decisive offensive bloodline. On the whetstone of real war, the edge of Magnet Release had at last been bared.
