After the semester leave, today was my first day back to my final year class. I was still lying in bed while my mom shouted from the kitchen, worried that I was getting late for college. My mom is my everything-my biggest inspiration and the strongest woman I have ever seen. Because of her sacrifices, I was able to continue my higher studies.
People say every girl is her father's little princess, but my life was different. My father is addicted to alcohol; every day he comes home drunk and fights with my mom. Because of him, I lost many of my dreams. But now, my only dream is to make my mom proud and see her happy.
Hearing her voice again from the dining table, I finally got up, took a bath, and came out to have my breakfast-ready to face the day for her.
In Dinning Hall
Minnie: Good morning Mom 🌞
Princy (mom) : Good morning dear and eat your breakfast you getting late for college
Minnie; Ok Officer, and mom Sara will come and pick me up for college so don't worry.
Sara is my one and only best friend in college. I don't know how I would survive my college life without her. She is an extrovert, full of life, while I am quiet and introverted. Because of my childhood trauma, I don't talk much to boys. Sara is like a sister from another mother-she knows everything about me and understands my silence. I trust people easily, but in the end, I am always the one who gets broken. With her, at least, I feel safe.
After breakfast, I got ready for my classes, said bye to my mom, and went to Sara's car.
Sara pov
I reached Minnie home to pick her up so we will go together, I saw minnie and smiled, She got in my car
Sara : Good morning beautiful ❣️
Minnie : Good morning my dear Sister 💖
I know you didn't have breakfast so i packed some sandwiches that my mom made and she was surprised.
Sara : OMG!! Thank you 😊
Minnie: ok shall we go it's getting late
Sara : ok ok 👌
Minnie pov
We reached college on time. Our degree was related to the film industry, a world I once dreamed of entering as a model. But because of financial struggles and responsibilities, I had to let that dream go. Because of my father, I lost my happiness, my freedom, and the joy of my childhood. I missed the love and care every girl deserves from her father, and that pain still lives in me. That is why my heart carries anger toward him every single day.
Now, my only goal is to work in the best production company, and no matter how hard it gets, I will give my best to make that dream come true.
After some time, our classes were over. Today was the first day, but the professors gave us so many assignments. "I was already tired, so I rested my head on Sara's shoulder." In the evening, I had to go to my part-time job. After college, I work at a coffee shop to help my mom to pay my college fees.
In the evening, Sara and her friend Pranav asked me to join them for dinner.
Minnie : No, Sara. I have to go to my part-time job.
Sara : I know-you're not joining because of Pranav, right?
Minnie: It's not like that, Sara. You know I don't want to give him false hope.
Sara: At least give him a chance, Minnie. Just not because he's my friend and also he is good for you, You know he's a gentleman, and he has liked you for a year.
Minnie: i am sorry Sara. I need to concentrate on my goals now 😞 .
Sara : i take a breath and said "it's ok Minnie I won't force you 🫂 But tomorrow, let's go shopping, okay?"
Minnie: "ok Officer" 🫡🤭
