Chapter 58 - Chapter 58: The Monday Brief

Monday. 9:03 a.m.

The conference room smelled of fresh coffee and printer ink.

Kasia and Joanna were already there.

Kasia in black. Joanna in burgundy.

Both laptops open.

I walked in.

Sat.

Kasia spoke first.

"Tomasz sent the overnight report. They spent the weekend together. No issues. She's… content. Called him this morning. Said she'll see him Wednesday."

Joanna added.

"She hasn't contacted the office. No calls. No emails. No searches on Thorn Publishing or Chronos_Architect."

I nodded.

"Fistoria?"

Joanna tapped her screen.

"Second letter dropped Friday. Blogs ran it. Forums are louder. Board chair canceled a public appearance today. Legal team is drafting an amendment proposal. Expected by end of week."

Kasia leaned forward.

"They're offering to cap the clause at 'serialized content only.' No world-building ownership. Not enough, but it's movement."

I sipped coffee.

"Push for full removal. Threaten the class-action filing if they stall."

Joanna smiled.
