Shin opened his eyes in a new world, but in many ways, that place seemed familiar.
A cell phone was in his pocket, and he was in a modern room. More specifically, he was in a room at an inn during a school trip. Since no one had agreed to share the room with him, he ended up with the whole place to himself.
That said, one look out the window was enough to realize that he was in another dimension.
On the horizon, a massive tower rose, piercing the skies.
Its architecture seemed plucked directly from a Greek temple, contrasting with the forest of buildings in which humanity currently lived.
"I'm really fat, huh…" Shin murmured, changing his focus to the mirror.
The upside was that he was tall, actually taller than he should be based on game information. Besides, now he had a fully functional body and was full of potential.
Shin couldn't resist throwing a combination of punches, recalling the time when he trained in boxing.
But what really mattered about his new appearance was the mark in the center of his chest that glowed a lilac hue.
That was proof that he had been chosen by the tower.
Every year, between 10 and 15 thousand 18-year-olds are chosen to enter the tower.
Those who were not chosen would never again have the chance to enter. And they would also never develop magical powers.
Inside the tower, however, a completely different civilization had formed, where magical powers and systems existed.
And it was the society within the tower that controlled everything that happened outside of it; after all, they could enter and leave the tower freely and possessed power far superior to any technology.
But Shin still had 6 months before entering that infernal place. This period would be his tutorial, where the heroines were much easier to tame, and there was basically no real danger.
However, if he didn't take full advantage of this period to get stronger, his future would be difficult.
In any case, his time for thinking was over, and he could already hear loud pounding on his door.
He only had time to put on a baggy shirt, whose colors faded from excessive wear.
"What is it?" he asked, opening the door, even though he knew what was coming next.
The first thing his eyes caught was a pair of perfect breasts. Followed by lips made for kissing and a face that could only be described as the most beautiful of all.
She was the most desired girl in school, none other than Eva Blackburn.
She had the appearance of an elegant Gyaru, with a beautiful tan, long blonde hair, and a killer look.

She was the queen of high school.
And there was one more important thing about her. Eva was an entitled brat who thought of herself as a queen and believed she could manipulate others for her own purposes.
"I'm going to kill you!" The perfect gyaru shouted with a hatred that seemed to take over her whole body.
Her eyes burned with rage, and she clenched her fists tightly.
That said, her body trembled gently, her shoulders drawn in, giving her the air of a frightened and vulnerable damsel.
It was a paradoxical mixture of intimidation and vulnerability.
It should have been impossible for a person to transmit such conflicting feelings simultaneously, but Eva was capable of it.
She really is an impressive actress, Shin thought.
Then his eyes focused on the herd following behind the queen. The majority were men, but there were a few women as well.
And it was exactly in this scene that the game began.
Normally, he would have had only four options, but nothing appeared before him.
After all, Shin had the freedom to choose the best path.
So he stepped out of his room, blocking the entrance with his massive body.
In this way, he would prevent the scene that followed from occurring inside his room.
"Don't come any closer, pervert." Eva abandoned the intimidation and completely assumed the role of the vulnerable damsel.
And immediately, an idiot took the bait.
Hiroto, like a hero, stepped between Shin and Eva, protecting her. Then he turned immediately to ask how she was and to console her.
In truth, Hiroto was the reason Eva had staged this whole scene.
She was already dating someone, but decided she would replace her current boyfriend with Hiroto. She had even managed to sleep with Hiroto one night when he was drunk.
But the man, having a hero complex, wouldn't want to steal another man's woman. That said, his hero complex also made a helpless damsel irresistible to him.
"How could you install a camera in the girls' bathroom!" one of the girls who accompanied Eva shouted.
Soon, others started calling Shin every name in the book.
But the man didn't even answer them. There was no point arguing with a crowd of idiots. Caring about the opinion of crowds was the first step to becoming useless and unsuccessful.
Besides, not all the characters had arrived at the scene yet, so he locked his room door and waited for a few moments.
And finally, the teacher in charge of the class arrived to investigate the commotion.
"On what grounds do you accuse me of placing a camera in the girls' bathroom?" Shin declared loud and clear, silencing everyone for an instant.
The girl who had initially accused him was too intimidated to say anything, so Eva had to take over.
"Everyone knows you're a pervert who tries to take pictures of girls in secret. It's obvious it could only have been you!"
Leaving behind her role as a helpless damsel, she glared at Shin with an intimidating look.
But her intimidation did not affect her opponent.
"In other words, your only basis is cruel rumors and prejudice?"
"Don't pretend to be innocent now!"
"I didn't even know about the camera in the bathroom until you suddenly appeared in my room. I am absolutely innocent, and all of this is absurd!" he complained.
"Then let us search your room! I'm sure we'll find evidence there!" Eva shouted.
It was obvious she wanted to enter his room so that one of her lackeys could plant false evidence. However her plans, as usual, were really dumb.
"You want me to give up my privacy because of unfounded accusations?" Shin replied with a sarcastical tone.
"What's the problem? If you're innocent, you have nothing to fear."
"Then I think it would be fair to let them investigate your room as well?" Shin replied with a smile.
And immediately Eva backed down; the last thing she could allow was for anyone to see her room.
Seeing that she had lost the argument, Eva tried to use his most powerful technique: crying. The bitch covered her eyes with her hand and began to sob, as if holding back tears.
"Now you want to search my things, creep? What do you plan to do in my room?"
As always, Shin couldn't help but admire what a good actress she was. And immediately, a certain idiot reacted just as Eva wanted.
Hiroto lunged at Shin, screaming for him to leave Eva alone. Blinded by rage, the boy didn't think; he only acted. His hand tightened into a fist as he charged forward, aiming a wild punch straight at Shin's face.
In an instant, Shin recalled the hundred times he saw this scene. In the game, the only thing he could do was take the punch while squeezing his eyes shut in terror.
But now he was free, and keeping his eyes wide open. To the surprise of the crowd, Shin dodged the first blow.
He would have preferred to leave the fight for later, but since things had reached this point, Shin would teach Hiroto a lesson.
The man was strong, but beatable, especially for an ex-military soldier who had been the greatest hand-to-hand combatant of his generation.
