Guests of Victor and Katarina approached them happily, congratulating and praising them to the high heavens—loud enough to disturb even the cherubs sleeping. Under the sparkling chandelier and lively chatter, the couple naturally stood out.
Cassian stood in the corner of the grand event hall, his champagne glass close to his lips as he studied everything around him.
"Cassian, what are you doing here in the corner?"
"Of course, Cassian has to stay to the side and give the limelight to his brother. They get along well, after all. And tonight is Victor Clark's night and their pack's future Luna."
"Cassian, do you want to dance?"
Around Cassian were women trying to talk to him and get his attention. But since he kept ignoring them and simply watching his brother, they ended up chatting among themselves.
