After that, Zetsun spoke to himself—but loudly enough for Hakura to hear.
"I went to another world," he said quietly.
Hakura frowned.
"Another world?"
Zetsun replied coldly,
"That's none of your concern."
He was about to leave when Hakura suddenly grabbed his hand and said,
"You know something. Tell me."
Zetsun shook his head.
"If I tell you, you'll think I'm crazy."
Then Zetsun added,
"There's some kind of connection between the missing people… and you."
Hakura's expression hardened.
"All I want to say is this—our team suspects you."
Saying that, Hakura walked away.
Zetsun also returned home.
Once inside, Zetsun noticed something strange—there was a necklace around his neck, glowing softly, almost like an aurora.
It shimmered like light reflecting on water in the darkness of night.
Zetsun whispered,
"Did Hakura put this around my neck?
Because I don't recognize this at all…
I remember seeing this necklace before—in black and white."
He turned on the news.
On the screen, a small cat was seen wandering on the road. The warning below read:
"Everyone is advised to stay inside their homes for the next few days.
Do not go near the zebra crossing."
Just then, Zetsun heard a noise inside his house.
Startled, he looked up—and froze.
Standing there was a completely pale man, as if there was no blood in his body at all. His hair was red—short, but not too short.
Zetsun demanded,
"Who are you? How did you get into my house?"
The man suddenly jumped and landed near Zetsun's sofa and said,
"You still don't understand what's happening to you, do you?"
Zetsun asked,
"How do you know all this?"
The man replied,
"The queen—the one the cat talked about—
you killed her.
You killed her from the other world."
Zetsun's eyes widened.
"What?!"
The red-haired man continued,
"I came specially from that world.
In truth, the king of that world expelled me."
He explained further,
"In our world, everything is only black and white.
I broke the rules—that's why my hair is red and my skin is pale."
Zetsun said desperately,
"But why is all of this happening to me?
I'm not even the real one."
The man looked at him and said,
"They're after you because if the Zetsun of the other world dies in any way,
but the Zetsun of this world stays alive,
then the Zetsun of our world will never die."
Zetsun whispered,
"So that's how it is…"
The man continued,
"The Zetsun of our world also broke the rules.
He wanted happiness to exist in that world too… but—"
Suddenly, Zetsun interrupted,
"You never told me your name."
The red-haired man replied,
"My name is Izu."
Then Izu paused and said,
"Wait… you have that necklace?"
Zetsun asked,
"What necklace?"
Then he smiled slightly and said,
"Oh, this? I got it from the other world."
Izu's expression changed.
"No… that necklace is given only to the Moderator of our world."
Zetsun frowned.
"Moderator?"
