It was a Monday morning, the first day of school after the winter breaks and it felt like every other morning only slightly different, I was hooked on my phone stalking through my crush Tiktok page without even knowing I would be late to school, when reality finally caught up with me I decided to hurriedly do my usual morning routine before going to school when I stopped and realized I had nothing to wear just plain old clothes from last year's fashion trend and I decided I had to at least wear something good for my first day in my new school which my crush was in, that's not even what I'm meant to be saying right now okay rewind back to my outfit, so as I was saying I finally mustered up some courage to go raid my elder sister's closet hoping I wouldn't be caught...well that went great, thankfully she was sound asleep and finally I got something to wear which was a light blue floral cropped top with a red plaid skirt and a knee high white socks with black loafers, me looking at the mirror now I never knew I would actually look human at the very least feminine but I slayed at both and that was something to be happy about.
Since I already got my outfit in check it's time to head downstairs for breakfast, as usual dad already prepared it, I love him so much he always knows how to make things much easier well after that I just took a cab to school knowing if I had waited for the bus I would be more late than this..."The school was nothing like I expected, everyone was dressed to impress and they all seemed to already have their own cliques" .
Then I saw him,you all already know who that is well for those who don't it's the one and only Gavin just so you all know the guy that made me late for my first day at school, even after all those likes and comments I constantly gave on his page he didn't even care to check my page out, well why would he want to do that when I have less than fifty followers anyways moving on he didn't seem to notice me, well that wasn't new to me at all, I just decided to walk past for now and approach later.
It didn't take long before I reached the principal's office it was very easy to find especially with all the signs around.
"Good morning Miss Nunu" said Principal Hayles. Well good morning ma,I've been wanting to personally thank you for granting my admission into the school I so much appreciate it."The pleasure is all mine dear, well aren't you supposed to at least be with your parents to complete some paperwork" said the principal . My parents couldn't be present today so I'll be the one filling out my paperwork." Okay then" said the principal.
"Few minutes later" finally I'm done so now I need to find my class how hard can that be "scanning the hallway to see whether I'll find my classroom" finally I've seen it and it turns out I'm in the same class as Gavin well that would give me a better chance at approaching him now I just need to pull off one of those kdrama stunts how hard could it be.
"The bell rings signalling the first period is about to start, then Mrs Callaway walks in"
Settle down for class everyone, it's still early in the morning I don't have time for any unnecessary chit chat, now open to page 8 in your biology textbook we're going to be going through some few exercises and explanations before taking notes but if anyone wants to jot down anything then feel free to, but before I forget I was told we have a new student in class and your homeroom teacher Mrs Lawson isn't available so I'm here to fill in for her, so could you all join me in welcoming Miss Nunu.
Nunu's Pov
" I stood there frozen thinking about all I could say but no words could come out but then I remembered how that went in junior school and that can't happen again not now at least so I decided to speak up"
Hi guys, I'm very pleased to be here I hope I fit in well and probably be friends with you all as fast as possible, then I gave a very calm smile
"Usually that was meant to work but as bratty as rich people are they all just looked irritated, at some point I caught some girls at the back gossiping and I'm pretty sure it wasn't a good talk and most importantly it was probably about me but what could I do"
Mrs Callaway's Pov
Well exactly what I expected, cold and bratty anyways Nunu you could proceed to your seat so that we could start today's exercises.
"Few minutes later, the bell rings again and I sigh in excitement finally this was my chance to approach him at least that's what I thought"
Nunu's Pov
When the period was over I realized we had a ten minutes break so I decided to head to the girls toilet to rinse my face that was my initial plan till I saw Gavin headed for the cafeteria so I had a change of mind and so I started thinking of how I could make him ditch those two other girls with him, luckily before we reached the cafeteria they had already left him I don't know where they were headed but that wasn't my concern I was only focused on when and how I would approach him. " So I called out to him". Hi Gavin "he turned backwards slowly almost seeming like he was in slow motion".
"Hi... Uhm what's the name again"said Gavin. It's Nunu actually I just said so in class some minutes ago. "Oh yeah that's true so uhm what did you approach me for what do you want" said Gavin. "That's harsh don't you think" I thought then finally said, well I was getting to know people and you seemed like someone good to start with so yeah that's probably why I said with a smile so obvious. " Well you've done that right cause I need to go now I don't have time for this"said Gavin.
"Before I could reply he turned his back on me and started walking away, only for him to have made it three steps further, then I yelled just enough for him to hear me". Are you always this way ," he turned not expecting this from me then he said". " Always which way, you know you're the first girl saying this too me and I don't like that at all and once I don't like something I don't ever want that thing to repeat itself" said Gavin, before walking away finally a girl approached me and said to him "You don't always have to take things so personally she was just trying to be friendly" she said before Gavin finally walked away without giving her a reply. "Just don't mind him he's always this way especially with new girls that seem to have a crush on him she said before finally introducing herself as Amaya she was a classmate of mine also Gavin cousin but not much people seemed to know that,then I faced her saying " Hi Amaya I'm Nunu as you already know and how do I seem to have a crush on him it's not that obvious is it,"well if you put it that way, now I'm actually sure you do have a crush on him and I'd tell you thats not the best thing to do cause he's not someone to be serious with girls like at all" Amaya said. Well I don't really mind sha he seems nice though, online at least I'm pretty sure he's just this way cause of I'm new right. " I don't really know about that though but if you feel that way I can't do nothing about that " she said. Thanks anyways Amaya, break seems to be over now and also if you don't mind I'd want to be friends with you that's if you'd want that." Yes of course why not, you seem pretty chill that's why I still don't get why he reacted that way with you oh and by the way I love your outfit" Amaya said. Oh thanks I didn't know anyone would compliment it but you did so thanks for that. " You're welcome just be careful around Gavin he could be a jerk at times well pretty much Everytime but anyhow let's head to class" said Amaya
Nunu's Pov
"The bell rang for the last time today I was excited to get home and make researches on how I'll approach him and I know exactly what will help nothing but good old kdramas before I forget I don't know the way back let me ask Amaya" Hey.. hey Amaya are you going home now I wanted to follow since you live around my area cause I don't really know the way back." Sure why not let's go then" said Amaya. Well I was thinking on how I'd approach Gavin and I finally decided kdrama would help just a few tips and I'm pretty sure he'd notice me . " Amaya lets out a huge laughter before saying what the... How did it get to the point of kdrama why not try talking to him again before doing that okay". Okay then I'll try that out now." Sure I'll be here waiting, good luck " Amaya said.
Gavin's Pov
Here she comes again like how desperate is this girl." Who are you talking about"Josh says. Just a new transfer student in my class, she approached me today and I snubbed her thinking she would get the signs but still she didn't." Why not do so again, this time it's in public so she'll probably back off" Christopher said. Yeah that's actually true, nothing hurts more than a public embarrassment right guys." We all laughed and looked at each other in agreement to the plan".Dudes here she comes you guys should probably go now." Okay then" they both said.
Nunu's Pov
"I only have to try my best this time just be as friendly and as open as ever and it would all work out, I reassured myself with a smile before saying" Hi Gavin what's up."Is it that you can't read signs or what or you didn't notice earlier,Gavin said which got him attention from the crowd which faced us before I said" Uhm I actually did that's why I approached you now thinking you were just pissed earlier." Well you were wrong, I wasn't pissed but do you know what pisses me off now the fact that someone like you would ever think of associating with someone like me now before you cause yourself to get more humiliated you better run off like the little thing you are, Gavin said " Oh I'm sorry if I offended you I'll just go now."I said before he turned around and walked to his friends while I walked away with tears in my eyes and the thought of so many people watching me while I got embarrassed". Well I guess that didn't work I just have to try again this time I'll try my way."I smiled faintly, well it's going to be fine okay this is what I was trying to tell you, said Amaya" . Well I won't stop till I've talked to him okay, I don't care about what just happened I'll try again tomorrow okay."okay then it's your choice I've warned you though, said Amaya". I appreciate your concern but I rather do it my way this time I'm positive it will work" I smiled fully this time wiping away my tears while having double thoughts on whether or not I should listen to Amaya, cause he did seem like a jerk after what he did to me today, but still I can't give up though that wouldn't be right to me, these thoughts remained in my mind still contemplating on what to do

Will Nunu go ahead and approach Gavin again after today's embarrassment or would she move on like Amaya already adviced her to, I guess we'll find out in the next chapter.
