(Pov Satoshi)
I was rushing through the forest to reach Yuji and the others when I finally came upon a clearing. Though when I got there, it seemed I wasn't needed as not only were Yuji and Aoi currently giving Hanami the most confusing beating ever, but what got to me was that Junpei was there as well. I knew I had seen him, but I hadn't thought he would mesh so well with the other two. Maybe it was due to him and Yuji being good friends that convinced Aoi to accept him despite their differing tastes.
The three of them and Moondregs were engaging in a non-Euclidean ass beating as Aoi was constantly swapping them around and landing strike after strike on the curse's body. The cursed spirit had no room or ability to move or defend itself from the onslaught when things began to go even farther.
Yuji strikes an uppercut, but as the hit lands, his hand produces black and red lightning, and when the strike lands, it lifts Hanami off the ground, and I can hear Yuji say. "BlackFlash!" That part had been expected as Yuji was gaining control over his cursed energy and would strike multiple black flashes against Hanami, but now he wasn't the only one.
Junpei was suddenly swapped in and brought his fist down onto Hanami, and like before, sparks of black and red formed around his fist. "Black Flash!" His attack slammed the curse back down just in time for Yuji to slide back in and deliver his next blow. "Black Flash!" Yet again, the sparks appear and slam into Hanami.
Hanami was swapped once more, now below both Yuji and Junpei, who both slammed their foot down, delivering devastating kicks, and once more, Yuji's attack was coated in black lightning. "Black Flash!" As the two backed off, Junpei's shikigami Moondregs wrapped its tendrils around the curse, filling it with paralyzing poison, and while Hanami was restrained, Aoi jumped in delivering his own series of devastating punches.
Yuji jumped back in and delivered one last punch. "Black Flash!" The curse fell to her knees, breathing heavily, her body suffering from the massive damage buildup due to the combined black flashes and Moondreg's poison. She could barely stand, but she was incredibly durable, and I could see her hands moving into shape. Like in the original, she was trying to end the fight by opening her domain, which meant Satoru was about to break the barrier and join the battle. I couldn't let that happen. I had sat by to allow Yuji to land his black flashes, as every time he lands one, his control over cursed energy increases, and now he had hit an additional four, and Junpei also managed to hit one as well from what I saw anyway.
Now it was time for the training to end, so I pulled the Soul Split Katana and jumped over, and before the curse could react, I cut her head off the body, and head both dissolving as the curse was finally exorcised. "Three down, one to go." I said before storing the sword once more, and right after, the barrier finally collapsed.
"Gojo-Sensei!" Yuji shouted as he ran up, followed by the others. "Did you run into the others?"
"I found Mai and the two Hasaba girls from Kyoto, they're fine now, sorry I took so long, but you guys had it handled." I said, and looking up, I could see Satoru briefly before he teleported to deal with the guy who made the barrier.
"Gojo-San, your students show promise, but I should have expected no less from my best friend." Aoi said.
"We just met!" Yuji yelled.
"Alright, no arguing, this day has gone about as bad as possible, so the event's over, we need to head back." I said, trying to cut things off before they started chasing each other.
Things had honestly not gone so bad; no one had died, and now two more dangerous curses, one of them a disaster curse, had been exorcised. Now the only one left was Dagon, and he wouldn't be much trouble after all, despite the damage he did to the other sorcerers during Shibuya when Toji showed up; he didn't stand a chance. If that did happen, though i'd be able to stop the squid before anyone got too injured, though those thoughts could wait.
I stored the worm back in my stomach and led the three of them back to the main school area. During the attack few students had been injured, with most of the damage being to Toge from overuse of his Cursed Speech, though Megumi and Noritoshi also suffered injuries while fighting Hanami. Maki had been caught in some vines and got scratched up by thorns when she engaged, but other than that, there were no other injuries.
Once all the students had been checked out, the ones who were well enough went to their rooms, while the more severe cases stayed behind while Shoko healed them up. Either way, the first day of the Goodwill event was effectively over, and with no clear victor, the first round was considered a tie.
Typically, the second day would involve a principal chosen activity that just so happened to always be one-on-one battles, but this time, Satoru and I had meddled with things a little. Now the second day was going to be baseball, as we both felt the students deserved a less violent activity after the disaster that was today.
I would have some breathing room after this though I did want to try and keep Yuji and Nobara from killing Eso and Kechizu not that they weren't that important but Yuji deserved some more people entirely in his corner and who better than his older brothers even if they were only half related if Choso could see the relation they'd follow him and once Choso was on our side Kenjaku had one less ally.
I could also help Megumi against the Finger Bearer, but he needed the push to realize his own potential, and once he did that, I could really make sure he didn't continue to rely on Mahoraga as the ultimate counter.
Honestly, the more I thought about it, the more I felt I might be biting off more than I could chew. Oh well, no use complaining, people needed saving, and I could do it, at least I had my own older brother to back me up.
