At Ferraro's mansion…
It was already a normal day for everyone.
The old man walked into Carlo's room and found him trying to get up from his bed but only winced in pain until he eventually gave up.
"I can't believe you like that bastard actually beat you up," Ferraro hissed, eyes narrowed at Carlo with contempt. "You always bragged about how you were going to make him pay and when you finally had the opportunity, you got beaten up instead."
Carlo's lips twitched. Being reminded of the beating wasn't part of the activities he wanted to get involved with that day and he could only hope that Ferraro left him to deal with his thoughts alone.
However, with the way the man stared at him as if he was a mistake was enough to let him know he wasn't going to leave until he belittled him enough to the extent his ego would end up bruised.
"If you're this weak, how do you think you'll be able to defeat Dominic?!"
"I am not weak!" Carlo growled.
