Xian took in the expression on Felix's face. He looked guilty, like he'd done something wrong and was trying to hide it.
He pushed the bin away with his leg before answering. "Nothing. I was just startled for a second." Then he gave a nervous laugh. "I forgot there was someone living with me now."
Xian did not believe him but he nodded anyway. "If it makes you uncomfortable that I'm around—"
"It doesn't!" He took Xian's smaller hands in his. "I only need to get used to it." He looked down at the apron that was tied to Xian's tiny waist and put his hands on the slender curve there.
It was too perfect how Xian fit into his hands. And he felt almost guilty for liking it a bit too much.
The image of Cheng suddenly flashed in his mind and he wondered if he'd thought the same about the omega in front of him.
"What are you cooking?" Felix asked, his tone almost clipped.
