Xian was standing in front of a random bakery when a black car with equally tinted windows pulled up. It was Shen, his creditor. Otherwise known as the bane of Xian's existence.
The window rolled down to reveal a smug Shen with his piercing green eyes. Xian had found them endearing that night they met up at the club. But now? He just thought the alpha was being annoying.
"Are you going to get in on your own or you want me to carry you in?" Shen asked, his right arm lying lazily on the back of the passenger seat.
Xian opened the door and got in. He had walked all the way to a random street because he didn't want Shen knowing where he lived. Or worse, Felix finding out the type of relationship between them.
"You don't seem happy to see me," Shen mused as he pulled out of the curb.
"What a genius you are," Xian replied.
