Silas's POV

I was reviewing the final clause of a merger contract when my office door exploded inward, the force nearly ripping it off its hinges. I didn't need to glance up to know who had the audacity to storm into my space like he owned the building.

"What the hell do you think you're doing, Silas?" Hugo's voice boomed through the room, loud enough to make my secretary jump outside. I heard his footsteps pound against the marble floor as he charged toward my desk. "How could you freeze me out of the family business? How could you lock down my accounts?"

I set down my pen with deliberate precision, closed the contract folder, and settled back into my leather chair. "Good afternoon, Hugo," I replied, my voice ice cold.
