Bella's POV
"Fiona," I whispered her name, but she was already drowning in her tears.
"I found him again, Bella... I caught that lying piece of trash with her!"
Her voice shattered as she attempted to clean her face with shaking fingers. "This time I swear on everything holy that I'm finished. I won't crawl back to him anymore."
She was shaking her head back and forth frantically, black streaks of makeup painting her cheeks, damp hair clinging to her skin. She looked completely destroyed, but this destruction was familiar territory for both of us.
I lowered myself onto the couch beside her slowly, keeping my arms crossed because one gentle touch would shatter whatever composure she had left. "Which place was it this time?" I asked, though I already knew the answer would be either his workplace or that dive bar he frequented.
