Birth of Hanuman Ji

The birth of Hanuman Ji is a divine event blessed by multiple gods. His mother, Anjana, was an apsara named Punjikasthala who was cursed to be born on Earth as a vanara (monkey). To be freed from the curse, she performed intense penance to please Lord Shiva. Pleased by her devotion, Lord Shiva granted her a boon that he himself would be born as her son.

At the same time, King Dasharatha of Ayodhya was performing the Putrakameshti Yajna for sons. From the sacred fire, divine kheer emerged, which was distributed among his queens.
