"Just checking. Marcus said he saw Alessandro's car parked outside your building this morning."


Sienna's stomach dropped. Alessandro had been near her building again? But he'd promised to stop watching her.


"Black Mercedes. Same model he used to drive. Marcus ran the plates."


Marcus ran the plates? Since when did Dante have his head of security tracking Alessandro's vehicle?


"Dante, that's a lot of surveillance for a car that might not even be his."


"It's not surveillance. It's protection. After everything he's done—showing up at your apartment, sending flowers, watching you at restaurants—I want to make sure he's not escalating."
