Sienna spent Saturday crying.
Not all day. Just in bursts. While she was in the shower. While she was making coffee and staring at the box of office supplies on her counter. While she was trying to watch TV and kept thinking about how this was supposed to be a celebration weekend. How she should have been planning what to do with her promotion. How her career trajectory had been pointing up and now it was just... gone.
But by Sunday morning, she was done crying.
She woke up at six AM with a clarity that felt almost chemical. Like her brain had spent the night processing grief and had emerged on the other side with a plan. Or at least the skeleton of one. The bare bones of possibility.
She made coffee. Strong. Black. Sat at her kitchen table with a notebook and started writing.
