Chapter 3 - The First Chain Stirs

Vicky woke up screaming.

Not from fear.

From pressure.

It felt like something massive was pressing against the inside of his skull—like memories too heavy to exist in a human mind.

His hands trembled as he grabbed his head.

"Ahh…!"

"Make it stop…"

The villagers surrounded him but stayed at a distance.

The air around Vicky felt wrong.

Too heavy.

Too dense.

Even breathing near him felt difficult.

A Name That Shakes Reality

An old man whispered, barely moving his lips.

"…Vicky."

The moment the name was spoken—

The ground cracked.

Not violently.

Not explosively.

As if reality itself flinched.

Vicky froze.

"…How do you know that name?" he asked slowly.

The old man's eyes widened in horror.

"I—I don't," he stammered.

"It just… came out."

Vicky's headache worsened.

Because somewhere far beyond this world—

That name had been screamed.

Beyond the Sky

In a place where neither light nor darkness ruled—

God stood among broken thrones.

The chains around His arms rattled violently.

"No…" God whispered.

"He heard it again."

Around Him, other gods panicked.

"Erase the village!"

"Seal the area!"

"Do NOT let him awaken!"

A demon laughed softly from the shadows.

"Too late," it said.

"The first chain doesn't break by force."

God clenched His teeth.

"…It breaks by memory."

The Headache Evolves

Back in the village—

Vicky collapsed to his knees.

This pain was different.

Sharper.

Clearer.

Images flooded his mind:

A planet cracking in half

Gods kneeling, bleeding light

Demons burning, screaming his name

And himself—

Standing. Unchained.

He whispered through clenched teeth:

"…That throne."

His chest burned.

Something deep inside him shifted.

The First Chain

In the vision—

The chains around Vicky's body pulsed.

One of them—wrapped around his heart—began to glow brighter than the rest.

Symbols ignited.

The chain trembled.

God screamed:

"NO—LOCK IT—LOCK IT—!"

Too late.

A crack appeared.

Not broken.

But awakened.

Reality Responds

Back in the real world—

A shockwave burst outward.

The villagers were thrown back like leaves.

Trees bent.

Rocks shattered.

The sky darkened for a split second.

Vicky stood up.

Slowly.

His red eyes burned brighter than ever before.

Not glowing.

Judging.

He looked at his trembling hands.

"…So this is why it hurts," he said calmly.

"My body remembers what my mind doesn't."

Fear Returns

Far above—

God fell to one knee.

Sweat—made of light—dripped from His face.

"He's stabilizing," God whispered in terror.

"He's becoming compatible again…"

The demon smiled wide.

"Welcome back," it said softly.

"King of Nothing."

A Calm Before Collapse

Vicky looked at the sky.

For a moment—

Just a moment—

It felt like the sky looked away.

"I don't know who I was," Vicky said.

"I don't know what I did."

His fist clenched.

"But whoever chained me…"

The ground cracked under his feet.

"…had a reason to be afraid."
