Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: A Counter Force Distinct from the counter force

Akatsuki Brunestud.

This is her full name now, the nominal "King of Earth" modeled after the original True Ancestor, Crimson Moon brunestud.

For the current her, everything felt somewhat illusory, but with the mindset of "since I'm here, I might as well make the best of it," Akatsuki still accepted the fact that she had become the Final True Ancestor.

And then... there was no "and then."

Originally, that world was an erroneous one; gaia and alaya had reached a point of irreconcilable differences. Now, it was just a matter of gaia calling upon the UOs of other planets to eliminate all living organisms on Earth.

As the "King of Earth," Akatsuki would be sent to another worldline by gaia and alaya as the ultimate weapon to suppress humanity. This body was already prepared to "welcome the 'King of the Moon'," allowing the "King of the Moon" to be revived within her body if necessary.

After understanding the current situation, Akatsuki had to accept the fact that she had been entrusted with such a heavy responsibility right after transmigrating. Yes, she was a transmigrator; all things from her past life had vanished like smoke. Now, she was merely Akatsuki Brunestud, a bridge to stabilize gaia and alaya, and a vessel for the revival of the "King of the Moon."

Do you think she would think that?

That would be a huge mistake. In essence, her soul was still that of an ordinary person, and an ordinary person who obtained such great power would naturally not be content with being a simple vessel.

"But, is your side actually the tsukihime side or the Fate side? Why is there a Holy Grail polluted by Little Angra as well as things like Singularities and Lostbelts?"

Recalling some settings from TYPE-MOON, Akatsuki couldn't help but ask.

"That..."

"This world is a world that accommodates errors." While alaya was thinking, gaia had already spoken. It was as if she had already prepared her speech in her mind and was just waiting to say it. "When the endless worldlines develop, various errors occur. For example, a certain high-jumping boy didn't jump that day, a certain girl who was supposed to pull out the sword in the stone didn't, or Fujimaru Ritsuka, who was supposed to complete the Journey of Salvation, died unexpectedly in some Singularity or Lostbelt."

"Eh?"

alaya looked at her with a shocked expression, as if hearing this for the first time.

"To keep the worldlines progressing normally, this world had to choose to absorb the errors themselves, thereby creating stories that originally shouldn't have existed."

"Really? This is the first time I've heard of such a thing!"

Unlike alaya's shock, gaia looked at Akatsuki with a calm face.

"Uh, can you say something I can understand?"

In her past life, she wasn't good at using her brain. Compared to thinking, she preferred using absolute power to crush everything. However, human power ultimately has its limits. After overcoming the threat of firearms, she couldn't overcome weapons of mass destruction.

Like ICBMs and nuclear weapons.

"You don't need to think too much. You just need to live honestly on other worldlines as a device for 'Natural Response to Humanity' and survive." gaia stroked Akatsuki's head, a hint of reluctance appearing in her eyes. "No matter what, you are my child. Unless absolutely necessary, you must not flip that switch."

"That switch" probably refers to "welcoming the 'King of the Moon'." After all, as the original True Ancestor and the UO of the moon, her strength could be described as terrifying.

If it weren't for her unfamiliarity with magic, she wouldn't have been defeated by the Second Magus.

"Alright."

gaia and alaya exchanged a glance, then a flash of white light appeared, and Akatsuki vanished.

"Is this really okay? Won't an existence like her be corrected by the counter force? Just like Crimson Moon."

"No. When creating that physical body, I erased the concept of death for her and added a large amount of Divinity..."

Before gaia could finish, alaya asked in confusion, "Isn't Divinity a debuff?"

"Not entirely. I look forward to her being able to surpass her own legend in the Holy Grail War, just like a certain demigod hero."

The Black-haired, straight-haired Loli stretched and then reached out her hand to the Blonde Loli. "The UOs from other planets are almost here. Other living organisms on Earth will soon be wiped out. Let us two wandering spirits witness the end of our mutual child one last time."

The Blonde Loli was stunned for a moment, then took the Black-haired, straight-haired Loli's hand without saying a word.

Their fingers interlaced, they silently watched the giant figure gradually appearing in the atmosphere. Its saint graph had already surpassed the Stellar-class, reaching an immeasurable degree.

"Hey, ■■, do you regret becoming 'gaia'?"

Hearing that name which could no longer be mentioned, the Black-haired, straight-haired Loli was stunned for a moment, then shook her head.

"Didn't we agree not to regret it anymore?"

"But..." As if she couldn't hold it back anymore, the Little Loli's body began to tremble, and her voice carried a hint of a sob. "Even though we knew our time together was limited, why did we spend so much of it arguing?"

"Because that is the characteristic of 'gaia' and 'alaya'. The will of the planet and the will of humanity will eventually have a day when conflicts erupt."

The Black-haired, straight-haired Loli appeared very calm. "Beings like us are ultimately distinct from the two orthodox counter forces of TYPE-MOON. They do not acknowledge us, which is why they won't let us truly integrate into the core world of TYPE-MOON."

"But even so, you really like this world, don't you?"

"..."

"After all, you're a loyal fan of Nasu. But without me, you definitely wouldn't have been able to keep going. So, as your best friend, I can only stay by your side forever~"

The Black-haired, straight-haired Loli showed a rare smile, and after hearing this, the Blonde Loli stared blankly at her.

"I, I don't want to just be your best frie..."

Before she could finish, the two were corrected. Subsequently, this world, as a failed and destroyed world, would be turned into nourishment for other parallel worlds... "So I've come to the orthodox Fate line? Does that mean this is Fuyuki City?"

Akatsuki, wearing a black hoodie, was currently sitting on a swing in a park, looking up at the waning moon in the sky, feeling a bit confused. After all, not long ago, she was still in another strange worldline and had even seen the two counter forces of TYPE-MOON with her own eyes.

"I wonder if that worldline just now leaned more towards the tsukihime side or the Fate side..."

"Oh my~ Still lingering outside at this hour?"

At that moment, a frivolous voice accompanied by three different sets of footsteps approached Akatsuki.

Akatsuki frowned. That sleazy voice made her very uncomfortable, and after becoming a True Ancestor, she seemed to be able to smell the scent deep within others' blood.

To Akatsuki, the blood of these three people even smelled like it had already begun to rot.
