The door opens "The couples are already awake I'm surprised" said Aunt Fei looking at the two of them.
"Meiyin shouldn't you sleep some more" said Aunt Fei with a smile.
"I'm fine Auntie I can handle it" said Lin Meiyin with red cheeks.
Aunt Fei smiles and looks at Gu Chenyu
"You I hope you didn't bully her too much last night, my daughter is delicate" said Aunt Fei. Lin Meiyin's cheeks were flushed and she turns her face away, "She bullied me instead last night begging she couldn't let me go" said Gu Chenyu.
Lin Meiyin's eyes widened "Gu Chenyu!!" She whinned her whole face red. Aunt Fei laughs, "Lin Meiyin's thin skinned" he said with a wicked smile.
"Damn this man I'm going to kill him" she said grinding her teeth and her grip tightened on the hairbrush.
"How could you say that" she said feeling like she was about to explode.
"Breakfast is ready you two should come down for breakfast" said Aunt Fei leaving with a smile. Lin Meiyin looks at Gu Chenyu with red eyes "Are you crazy how could you say that?" She ranted.
"Quiet why are you acting like it happened" he said standing up and leaving the room. Lin Meiyin felt like throwing her brush at him, "Did he get more annoying or what, who said we just husband and wife on a goddamn paper why is he the one saying weird things now" she said.
Lin Meiyin drives her car down to Jeong music Academy her pictures on the wall next to Bo Sihan's picture, well she was his disciple. Lin Meiyin teaches some students music and then when she was dismissed, She sits down and looks at piano in front of her and plays with the keys. An old man walks in "Ahh my disciple has finally come back to see her Master brat where have you been why did you get so thin?" He whinned lifting up his cane and poking her.
"Ouch Master how did you know it was me"she asked.
"Even if you turn into Ashes I'll still know it's you, this old man hasn't forgotten you" he said.
"I missed you Master"she said hugging him.
"Don't make this old man cry now you owe me pork ribs " he said like a child. Lin Meiyin sniffles and wipes a stray tear.
"Whatever you want Master I promise to bring some tomorrow" she said.
" You're forgiven then" he said, " I still have a lot to teach you" he said.
"I want to hear that piece" he said, "That very one" he adds. Lin Meiyin picks up her white violin and then sits down, "I miss us playing together " he said. "Me too Master" he said, Lin Meiyin starts playing Heartbroken tears by spring. Master Bo plays the keys adding more rhythm to the piece, "I listen to it every night before I go to sleep, it reminds me of her" he said.
"You could be the new Lu Yan " he said.
"You play just like her" he adds.
Lin Meiyin stops "Lu Yan " she says.
"Yes Lu Yan the best of all times I feel the passion she had for music in you too bad she died young she was called the queen of the spotlight you know" he said.
"She was music "
Lin Meiyin remembers Aunt Fei's words "you remind of my sister Lu Yan." It's the same person she said to herself.
"So Lu Yan is Gu Chenyu's mother " Lin Meiyin felt like her head was about to explode.
Master Bo looks outside "What's inside that little brain of yours, we'll have tea tomorrow" he said.
"Yes Master" she nods, Lin Meiyin felt a new inspiration coming in she takes her violin and then starts playing and noting down some keys.
Gu Chenyu walks into Jeong Hall and looks at the picture, he sees Lin Meiyin's too. And at a corner was a picture covered with a black veil it was his mother he touches the picture, "I miss you everyday" he said, with a sad look. He looks around the hall and then he hears a beautiful noise coming from a room, his heart skipped a beat and the door was ajar, he looks through the glass window and sees Lin Meiyin there playing so passionately everywhere seemed to sparkle and glow.
Gu Chenyu puts his hand on the window looking at the little woman, looking so immersed in her work. She reminded him of his mother, Lin Meiyin felt a burning gaze and then looks up she met a pair of glass eyes looking at her. Lin Meiyin's heart skipped a beat and she stops and stands up wiping beads of sweat off her forehead,
" What are you doing here" she asked
"I'm a partner here" he said "My mother was one of the founders here" he said with an arrogant look.
"Is this your comfort zone" she asked, he gives her a side glance. "Let's go home"
He said "okay" she said putting her violin into it's case and following him.
Lin Meiyin was finally back in Lu Villa
Lin Meiyin takes off her shoes and then Aunt Chu comes into the living room. "Good evening Mr Lu " she said. Gu Chenyu nods and then Lin Meiyin smiles "Auntie doesn't seem to remember me anymore"said Lin Meiyin pouting like a child.
Aunt Chu was dumbfounded "Miss Lin is that you I couldn't recognize you oh good heavens"said Aunt Chu hugging Lin Meiyin who was smiling, "How do I look?" Lin Meiyin asked. "Breath taking you have unveiled your beauty" she said.
"You look so beautiful"said Aunt Chu.
"Is dinner ready?" Gu Chenyu asked
"Yes Mr Lu " she said.
"Okay"he said going upstairs, Lin Meiyin follows him upstairs and in the courtyard she sees a classic piano.
"You got me a piano"she said. "Don't you need one?" He asked.
"I do" she said nodding they both go their separate ways, Lin Meiyin sat down scrolling through her phone when she sees something and her facial expression changes. Top model Lin Xuewei and Gu Zihan heir of the Gu family are getting engaged tomorrow night.
"Oh great what took them so long" she wondered.
Lin Meiyin receives an email that she was invited as a special guest to play a piece at their engagement. She smiles and looks at herself in the mirror, "I think it's time we meet and cause some mischief" she said.
Gu Chenyu knocks on her door and sees her with a mischievous smile on her face.
"Have you seen the news?" He asked.
"Yes I have I was even invited as a guest to play a piece" she said and she frowns.
"I received a call we were invited my father said he wants to see his new bride too" he said. Lin Meiyin nods "It's time to come out from the shadow are you ready?" He asked seeing she was a bit off. Lin Meiyin smiles "I'm fine I'm ready I'll see you tomorrow then" she said.
"Have a good night " he said closing the door and leaving. Lin Meiyin looks at herself in the mirror again and she smiles, "I am good looking " she said clicking her tongue.
The next day
Lin Meiyin prepared a meal, Gu Chenyu comes downstairs looking at the woman busy in the kitchen. The aroma of the food filled the house Gu Chenyu felt his stomach rumbling he secretly missed her dishes and then enters the kitchen.
"What are you making?" He asked standing behind her. Lin Meiyin jolts "Don't sneak up on me like that" she said.
"It smells good" he said with no emotion,
"I promised my Master I would bring some pork ribs with me today" she said packaging the food in a lunch plate.
"There's some for you I have to go now" she said wondering why he was still standing behind her. Lin Meiyin had to move sideways and walks away as she saw that he didn't budge, Lin Meiyin gets into her car and then drives to Jeong foundation she goes to meet her Master in his study.
"Good morning Master" she said with a smile holding the package.
"What did you bring for grandpa?" He said stretching his neck and looking at the lunchbox she was holding. "Here Master I brought you some pork ribs"she said giving it to him. The old man hugs the package, "Here have some tea with me" he said to her. Lin Meiyin pours some flower tea for herself and then she takes a sip,
"So how was London?" He asked.
"Well it was okay" she said shrugging,
"You must have caused some problems there with your talent" he said "By the way why didn't you stay there?" He asked her.
"I miss my homeland and I have somethings to do here, I'm thinking of going back" and said.
"Whatever you choose Grandpa is going to support you" he says.
Lin Meiyin didn't have any mini lectures today and just stayed in the empty class working on her music, she remembered her mother, Lin Meiyin soon felt sad and starts crying inside she wipes her eyes.
"I miss you everyday " she said. "You're lucky I brought a napkin with me today, maybe I should bring a packet who knows when you'll cry again " came Gu Chenyu's teasing voice behind her as he gives her a napkin. Lin Meiyin stops crying "What are you doing here?" She asked him, taking the napkin.
"I came to pick you up, you need a dress" he said. Lin Meiyin looks at him "Okay let's go" she said taking her bag and following him.
