The squads from the 4 villages arrived almost at the same time.

The squads from the stone village and the lightning village arrived from the north.

Each army was separated by almost half a kilometer.

Similarly, the armies of the fog village and the sand village arrived from the south.

While everyone was looking in the direction of the whirlpool country, no one stopped paying attention to the army next to them.

They could come into conflict at any moment and they must be prepared.

The four armies saw from a distance the barrier surrounding the main island of the whirlpool country and let out a breath of cold air.

'It's enormous,' they all thought.

The translucent barrier was enormous.

Although the main island of the whirlpool country was very small compared to the 4 large villages, it was still large with an area of 300,000 square kilometers.

And yet, the Uzumaki clan managed to create a barrier that can encompass everything.

This alliance was formed because they wanted the knowledge of the Uzumaki clan to be able to use the power of a tailed beast and create powerful barriers to protect their villages.

But seeing the enormous barrier in front of them, they realized that they had underestimated the fuinjutsu skills of the Uzumaki clan.

Aware of what a barrier of that size meant, they realized that it would not be easy for them to penetrate that barrier easily.

But instead of being discouraged, their desire to plunder the Uzumaki clan increased exponentially, and they ordered their fuinjutsu experts to approach the barriers and try to destroy them.

From the North and from the South, small groups approached the barrier.

Immediately, the shinobi took out brushes, ink, and scrolls and set to work trying to decipher the terrifying and beautiful barrier in front of them.

Unbeknownst to the shinobi of the 4 villages, their actions were perfectly observed by a group of people.

In a spacious room, 10 red-haired men were sitting around a semicircular table and watching a projection in front of them.

This projection was connected to one of the many barriers surrounding the island that monitor absolutely all the movements of the invading armies.

"Truly, Lord Uzukage's abilities never cease to amaze me," said one of the seated men.

The man who spoke was the sixth elder, the education minister of the whirlpool country.

Everyone around agreed with what the sixth elder said, remembering seeing for the first time when the barrier suddenly appeared and surrounded the entire island in seconds.

The ability to create a barrier covering an area of 300,000 kilometers was insane.

Just when they thought they knew the Uzukage's capabilities, the Uzukage took action to defend the country and surprised the entire nation with a single move.

"When do we make a move?" asked the fourth old man.

"The army is already positioned near the barriers, but they won't make a move yet."

"The plan is to wait until nightfall when the enemy armies become complacent and lower their guard," replied the second elder, the country's defense minister and army leader.

"Do we have any news of the actions of the Leaf Village?" asked the First Elder, Prime Minister, and the one who administered the country under the command of the Uzukage.

The first old man looked in the direction of the man who was sitting in a corner of the table, keeping a low profile and not seeming important at all.

But even though he doesn't seem dangerous, none of the other men at the table look down on him.

This was because this man was the tenth elder, the master spymaster of the land of the whirlpool.

Of course, only they knew of his status as a master spy.

Everyone in the kingdom only knew that he was the foreign minister, supposedly only in charge of interacting with foreign nations.

"The Leaf Village made no move"

"Their armies are only stationed on their borders, guarding against the armies of other villages entering the Land of Fire."

"Furthermore, the ordinary villagers and shinobi of the Leaf Village don't even know we're under attack," said the tenth elder without showing any expression or emotion on his face.

Sigh*

"As Mr. Uzukage told us, the Leaf Village does not plan to send aid even though we are allies," said the Fifth Elder, Minister of Health of the Land of Whirlpools.

Although it may not seem like it, the fifth elderly man was the oldest among all those present, at over 120 years old.

She still remembered how the young Mito Uzumaki married Hashirama Senju back then and they promised an alliance of clans.

"At that time, Lord Uzukage was right not to hand over part of our fuinjutsu when the Leaf Village was founded," said the first elder.

Upon hearing what the first elder said, all those present nodded in agreement.

They recalled when the Leaf Village was founded, Hashirama and Mito came to visit the country with a request.

Knowledge of fuinjutsu for the newly created Leaf Village.

They recalled at that time greeting them with a smile and agreeing with the idea.

After all, the Uzumaki clan and the Senju clan had been allies for hundreds of years, so they thought the alliance would continue and they would have the help of the Leaf Village when they needed it.

But to everyone's confusion, the country's leader refused.

At that time, shinobi and civilian matters had not yet been separated, so only the Daimyo was leading the country.

It was shortly afterwards that the Daimyo also took the position of Uzukage.

After Mito took Hashirama to the Leader's mansion to try to convince him, a few hours passed before they left and returned to the Leaf Village.

At that moment, Mito and Hashirama failed to bring the important Fuinjutsu knowledge of the Uzumaki clan and only managed to get the Uzukage to agree that Mito should form a barrier around the Leaf Village to protect it from possible infiltrators.

When Mito and Hashirama left the island, the elders looked for their leader and asked with confusion on their faces.

The Leaf Village was powerful, and it would be very good to gain their favor for the future.

Seeing that his subordinates had doubts about his decision, the Uzukage was not bothered and explained it to them.

"Things will be different now that the shinobi clans have united into a single village."

"While Hashirama's intentions are good in wanting a world of peace without shinobi clans killing each other, the result will not be as he expects."

"For now there is peace while shinobi villages are founded in almost all the elemental nations and will behave themselves for some years."

"But Hashirama is downplaying two very important points."

"One, who will not live forever to keep all these villages in check"

"And 2, but much more importantly, it is underestimating human greed"

"When these countries and villages realize they can get more than they have, they will use force to get it."

"And the Hidden Leaf Village that Hashirama founded will not be immune to this."

"I'm sure that after Hashirama, some Hokage will want to maintain or increase his power, and the village will enter into crisis."

"This corrupt Hokage will not respect us, his allies."

"Furthermore, we won't have to worry about whether they help us or not."

"We should be worried that he has us in his sights and will attack us directly or indirectly."

"Wars from now on will be bigger, so the destruction and misery will be much greater."

"I'm sure the Leaf Village will reach a point where they won't even be able to defend themselves, let alone offer us any help."

Having said that, the leader dismissed them and left them to think about his speech.

Although they wanted to believe that things weren't so bad, their leader's words made sense and wouldn't leave their heads.

But although they wanted to maintain hope that things wouldn't be so bad in the future, the events that occurred in the years to come confirmed the words of the country's leader.

Hashirama died years later, apparently due to injuries sustained in a confrontation with a rogue Madara Uchiha.

Immediately after rumors of Hashirama's death were heard, neighboring countries and villages mobilized, and soon after, what is known as World War I broke out.

Of course, as allies of the Leaf Village, the Whirlpool Country sent several squadrons to support their ally in the war.

The destruction and misery they witnessed at that time were so profound that they wished it would never happen again.
