Nathaniel said to himself " he forgot about the engagement and me entirely. It hurts so much and why can't I let go of him? Am I not that important to him?, but I thought I was very important to him and he wouldn't forget about me even though we were just children."
"I'm just a beta anyway how can he remember me and I'm just a nobody. Even though we can have children together, but being with an Beta like me isn't very acceptable. And an ideal type for omega are alphas with handsome face and well-built figures and not someone like me" Nathaniel thought further.
Nathaniel got up and said to himself: "I'll write him a letter to tell him everything and then I'll resign". And so he did . He handed the resignation letter and the letter to his boss and said with tears streaming down:" Don't open the letter yet but let me go far away from here first". Before Nathaniel left he whispered " goodbye my love and may you be happy with whoever you choose to be with".
But because Chris, the boss of Nathaniel and Nathaniel's unrequited love, was so curious about what was in the letter he opened the letter before Nathaniel could go far and read it. Tears streaming down his face because the person he was searching for throughout these years was right in front of him the whole time and he couldn't even recognize him. At that moment Chris recognized Nathaniel as the sun who shone so bright and also the "Hero" who saved him.
Chris dashed out of his office and ran as fast as he could to the parking lot just before Nathaniel could hop in his car and drove away leaving everything behind. Chris hugged Nathaniel from behind and asked with teary eyes: "Why didn't you tell me from the start that you were the boy from twenty years ago?".
"My Hero chan" he continued. Nathaniel was shocked, because he didn't expect him to remember him and asked with tears streaming down his face "you remember me?" And Chris answered with a question "and you were going to leave everything behind just like that?"
"Can we not waste anymore time and be together already?" Chris asked. Nathaniel answered with a yes.
