"You look like vampire nobility," Adrian said with satisfaction. He then helped her into the gown, and whatever the reinforced material Margot had created, slid over her skin and settling into perfect alignment along her body.

"The panels here," Adrian said, his fingers tracing along her ribs, "these will stop most blades and absorb significant impact. The fabric itself is treated to resist tearing."

He helped her to put the necklace with the same color with the gown, matching with the earrings. And for the last accessories, she wore the bond ring on her right hand, marking her as claimed.

When she was declared ready by Adrian, she looked wealthy, refined, and beautiful in ways that suggested breeding and privilege. Nothing about her appearance suggested her small-town origins or a restaurant waitress until a month ago.
