Chapter 8 - Helene (2)

Norlan walked through the night with a measured pace. As he walked, his thoughts couldn't help but wonder, if the blonde woman was going to be okay. Then he thought about how he would never see her again and tried to put her out of his mind.

That is, until the time he felt horny!

He thought of the future pressing in on him. There was no going back to his adopted family's house,he knew that much.

Whatever bond had once existed there was gone after his atrocity, and he would never be welcomed again.

He turned the problem over in his mind, searching for a way forward. Option after option fell apart under scrutiny, until one name surfaced and refused to fade. Larry.

Larry lived two towns away with his own adopted family.

They had met years ago at the orphanage, back when the world had been smaller and crueler in simpler ways.

Unlike Norlan, who had been passed from home to home, Larry had been well-behaved enough,or lucky enough to remain with a single family since the age of nine.

Norlan phoned Larry, telling him of his situation and how he was caught jerking of to his adopted sisters panties. Larry laughed his ass out. " You're lucky they didn't call the police on you, mate."

"Who said they didn't?" Larry paused, then laughed outloud like a maniac. He seemed to be happy to receive Norlan's call, even though he knew he was nothing but trouble.

Norlan and Larry talked and talked. Time and distance treaking passed them both as they gossiped about their shared friends.

Before he knew it, Norlan was already at the bus stop.

The bus stop was quiet at this hour of the night. When he checked the time, his bus was still thirty minutes away. Thinking himself alone, he continued talking to Larry, his voice carrying too loudly as laughter burst from him hysterically. The late hour had fooled him into believing he would be alone.

Then he saw her.

Helene.

She sat curled in on herself, her knees drawn close, her gaze drifting into the abyss of the night as though it might answer her unspoken thoughts.

There was a quiet, aching beauty to her stillness. Norlan felt it immediately;the sadness clinging to her, the betrayal etched into her expression, and the faint, dried tracks of tears that still marked her cheeks.

"Larry? I think we'll have to catch up another time" His voice brought her out of her stupor.

She stood up frantically. Norlan froze, pretending that he had just seen her.

" Oh , right, there should also be a subway too. I think I'll take that."

"What subway! Didn't you say you were broke? " Larry questioned on the other end of the line.

Norlan hunged up, pretending to walk away like the considerate stranger he was. Deep down however, he was waiting for her to stop him.

One step, two steps, three steps! He panicked. Why wasn't she calling out to him?

"Just take the bus! " She finally relented. A visible sigh of relief washing over Norlan.

"Don't inconvenience yourself on my account. It's not like you were stalking me when you saw what you saw" She said it in a lower tone this time. She glaced at him " I think that will make me less embarrassed" Her head nodded down, embarrassment all over her.

Norlan however was in cloud nine. Was this fate? Was this destiny? Would he be getting lucky tonight?

As an all time virgin and pervert, he was literally making up their future babies names in his mind.

She offered him a seat next to her. Further intoxicating the poor lad.

There was a silence. A silence that let thoughts and fantasies wonder the waking world.

'Come down Norlan.. come down, she's literally next to you. If you play this right, you may just get lucky! You wanted to comfort her right? This is your chance!! ' A devil on his shoulder whispered.

" Will you really be less embarrassed? " Courage came to him as he slithered softly into a conversation. " I..I think so! Yes " she said in a mosquito like voice.

Norlan crept closer to her," You know...?" His calm voice sounded," It's actually my last day in this town. I'll probably never set foot here again for a very long time.." He paused, " A very long time... We will possibly never see each other again. Becoming nothing more than strangers." Norlan could see a sigh of relief. Her shoulders finally relaxing after he stated out this fact.

" So where are you heading to?..oh being strangers as we are, small talk won't hurt right? " Spoke Norlan in his most mature voice ever.

"Sioneville"

"Ooh Sioneville is the next town over, and your bus will mostly only take about 5 more minutes. So.. how about it? "

" How about what? " She asked puzzled.

" How about we stop feeling uncomfortable with each other. Since we most likely won't ever meet again that is! You also don't have to feel embarrassed"

Norlan felt that this did the trick. Now, she was not only relaxed, but a trace of confidence could be seen visibly take over her face. She smiled..

"I never thought I would be comforted by a stranger. And a minor at that! " She chuckled, " How old are you?" She tried to take hold of the conversation and Norlan was glad. Didn't this mean he just passed through the first barrier?

"24 " He lied, not a trace of guilt in his eyes.

" Haa! " This time a laugh escaped Helene. Clearly guessing that Norlan lied. She turned to him with a smile.." To tell the truth, I saw how you tried to order drinks at the restaurant."

' So she did look at me! ' Norlan felt proud.

"It's okay, I don't mind and care how old you are since am actually embarrassed by my own self. I mean look at me, given everything a woman could ever ask for and I still can't keep a man at 30. At this rate, I'll die alone.."

" You're 30 years old? " Norlan blurted out, then quickly corrected himself after seeing her smile fade a little.

" What I meant to say was.." he stummered " I thought you were 21!" Good save, he praised himself inwardly.

Helene smiled, looking at Norlan curiously. " Is that why you lied about being 24?.. so you could hit on a 21 year old? " Norlan blushed while Helene laughed at his reaction, feeling pleased by her teasing.

Honk! Honk!

The bus had arrived. Seeing it, Norlan stood up abruptly and offered his hand to the lady. " Ahh, a gentleman I see.." she teased.

Honk!

Norlan, timed the honk and jerked with the sound. Pretending to be startled. He, 'accidentally released her hand', before adjusting his footing and reached out to Helene's waist, pulling her close to his body.

A planned blold move of course!

Tension instantly got the better of them as they made eye contact. Norlan's hand gently holding her waist, their breathing synchronizing together. Helene caught in the moment, placed her hand to Norlan's chest, her face flushing red as she felt just how fast his heart was beating.

She looked at his handsome face, his wavy black hair, his lips that seemed dried after comforting her with his words. Something inside her clicked, she looked at him longingly...

"Well, we may never meet again, so.." She leaned in and sealed his lips with hers.

Norlan's eyes widened in disbelief. He was only going to be content with just holding her but... He felt prider than a lion who hunted his first meal as he explored her with his tongue.

Those were the best 20 seconds of his life. It could have been more but,she jerked off in shock after her body came into contact with something unexpected. She gasped, her eyes trailing down to Norlan's dick. She blushed even more while staring too long at the bulging disaster.

Her legs felt warm, her eyes earger, her body ready to continue with the kiss as she lent forward.

Honk! Honk !

Norlan almost cursed outloud. Helene gained focus and smiled at Norlan. She entered the bus, her head turning to get a longer look at him. Wishing that they were not just strangers.

" My name is Helene, remember that! " The doors closed," Norlan " echoed Norlan's name as it departed.

Norlan stared at the bus as it left. Still not believing what happened. Still wondering if they both lived in this town, could things have continued..?

A pity they would most likely never meet again.

Or so he thought.

****

A few months passed after Norlan met Helene.

Life, as always, dragged him back to reality. With no steady way to feed himself, he returned to the orphanage. Larry had helped him before, but Norlan refused to become a permanent burden. After some negotiation, he struck a simple deal with the orphanage.

He would work around the grounds, help wherever he was needed, and in return the orphanage would provide food, schooling, and clothes.

It was a fair trade. One he accepted without hesitation.

Now, he was nearing eighteen, barely two months away from adulthood. The agreement that had kept him afloat was nearing its end, and with it came a growing sense of unease. He had no money, no family, no clear path forward. Every plan he considered collapsed under its own weight. He was stuck, trapped in a quiet quagmire with no obvious escape.

So when word reached him that a family wished to adopt him, he didn't believe it.

Who would adopt someone his age? Almost a man already. Someone with his history?

The offer reeked of ulterior motives, and suspicion came naturally to him. Still, curiosity won out.

He decided to meet these supposed benefactors.

And then he saw her.

Standing there, unchanged yet impossibly distant,in all her glory..

"Helene."
