Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Azure Dragon Sect Information Hall (1)

The 9th Level of the Nascent Profound Realm... this person is definitely a heaven-defying genius! Huang Shi shivered as he once again felt his worldview expand by a lot.

Learning about all of these geniuses that were currently more powerful than him didn't make him feel any sort of intimidation; instead, it only fueled his innate competitive nature.

Not to mention that he had the support of his System to both guide and speed up his process of cultivation—what kind of genius does he even have to feel scared of in this world?

Genius, eh? No matter how much of a genius these people are, they are nothing more than stepping stones in my path to the top! As a noble transmigrator from Earth with a System to boot, of course I have to do my part and reach the apex of this world!

His eyes shone with fierce ferocity as he felt more motivated than ever to earn more Scum Points and once again speed up his cultivation.

After this, Fang Lei was done relaying all of the information he had about the people he had to look out for in the upcoming Azure Dragon Sect martial arts tournament.

He and Fang Lei spent the next couple of minutes talking and getting to know each other, as he suddenly felt like this Fang Lei was quite easy to get along with.

Fang Lei, on the other hand, also felt the same; he felt like all of the information he had about Huang Shi being a useless wastrel was complete hogwash, as the person that he was talking to was instead a very kind and open-minded individual—of course, that was only when he didn't consider you as an enemy, where he would instead be completely ruthless, cutting you down without hesitation.

After walking for a couple more minutes, Huang Shi and Fang Lei had finally arrived at their destination: the Azure Dragon Sect Information Hall!

The Azure Dragon Sect Information Hall was a massive building that looked like an ancient Chinese library; it had gold and azure embellishments with massive pillars on its left and right to support its sharp rooftops.

Without even entering the library, he could already see the massive bookshelves that held numerous amounts of scrolls neatly arranged in rows so that the cultivators of the Azure Dragon Sect could easily access it and learn from the information.

After staring in awe at this sight, he finally sighed before looking towards Fang Lei, whom he had become quite attached to after spending this time together.

"Thank you for accompanying me, Junior Brother Fang Lei. I hope it was not too much of a bother."

Fang Lei, who also felt quite reluctant to part with this young master of his, quickly shook his head as he gave a bright smile.

"Of course not! The pleasure is all mine, Young Master! If you ever need any help from me again, you can contact me through my communication talisman by using my communication sigil."

After saying these words, Fang Lei suddenly wrote a few words on a piece of paper before handing it over to Huang Shi.

"Just let your communication talisman record this information, and it will immediately recognize me as the recipient of your message!"

Huang Shi, on the other hand, just gave a smile as he nodded his head. "Of course! I'll contact you again soon when I need your help."

After speaking for a couple more moments and receiving the minor healing pill, Fang Lei finally left as Huang Shi once again turned back towards the Information Hall.

Like hell do I know what a communication talisman is! But I guess its use is pretty obvious from the name; however, it's still better to be safe than sorry, so it's probably better if I include that in my list of stuff to learn about in the Information Hall.

After thinking of his plans for a few seconds, he finally walked towards the entrance of the Information Hall and entered through the main doors, as he once again stared in awe at the massive structure that was in front of him.

This really is another world! I can't believe they made a structure this big just to hold this bunch of scrolls!

As Huang Shi continued to look around the area, he quickly noticed something peculiar: at the side of the lounge where people could read through the information in the scrolls, there was a massive staircase that led to a higher floor.

I'm guessing the information scrolls in the higher floors have more powerful cultivation techniques compared to the lower floor, but most people probably can't get there.

Although for him, as the son of the Sect Master, it clearly wasn't a problem, and he could go directly up the higher floors as much as he wants.

After looking around for a couple of moments, he finally walked straight towards the reception desk as he greeted the person in charge.

"Hello, Junior Sister! My name is Huang Shi and I would like permission to read through the scrolls in the Information Hall. Is there anything I should do beforehand?"

The person Huang Shi called out to was a woman who had pure black hair and was wearing a plain azure robe—the standard issue clothing of the Azure Dragon Sect.

She had white skin and rosy cheeks and looked to be quite the decent-looking girl; in fact, he wouldn't be surprised if a girl like her would have a lot of suitors.

This girl, named Qiao Fenyi, suddenly spoke up with a hint of irritation in her voice as she replied without looking up from whatever it was that she was writing.

"Write your name on the ledger to my right and record the names of the scrolls that you have read or want a copy of for your own cultivation. If you fail to do so, you will be strictly punished by the Disciplinary Hall!"

Huang Shi suddenly gave a cheeky smile as he thought of a way to get more Scum Points.

A girl like this clearly has a lot of suitors. If I can hook up with her, it's like I'm taking away the goddess in their hearts and it will earn me a lot of points!
