Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 The Mighty Hawking

"Kamehameha!"

A furious roar sounded, followed by a beam of energy shooting from behind Wolverine, grazing his beard and directly blowing up the helicopter on the spot.

"No need to wait. I am already a qualified warrior right now."

Hawking put away his stance and said to Wolverine, who had turned his head and was staring at him.

Colossus and the students who hadn't yet entered the secret passage were all stunned. Hawking's Kamehameha reminded them of Cyclops Scott.

"Sergeant, how many have you captured?"

At the same time, in the Cerebro chamber on the top floor of the school, which had been blown open, William Stryker picked up the Cerebro helmet and asked the sergeant beside him.

The sergeant's face showed a hint of embarrassment:

"Currently, none. Two formidable individuals appeared and rescued several students we had just captured. Even one fighter jet was damaged."

"First, dismantle these and transport them back to the Base. The others will stay and capture as many Mutants as possible to test the machine's effectiveness later."

Stryker frowned instantly.

He hadn't expected that after taking down Professor X and transferring the school's teachers, there would still be troublesome individuals among these Mutant students.

Originally, he planned to directly occupy the entire school, but now, to be safe, he decided to personally leave with the machine first.

With Professor X in his hands, as long as he could replicate the Cerebro chamber at the Base, he could use his Mutant son's ability to control Professor X and instantly kill all Mutants on Earth.

"Yes, Colonel!"

So, very quickly, these well-trained professional soldiers dismantled the main machine parts of the Cerebro, then escorted them and Colonel Stryker onto the transport plane parked outside.

The sergeant who remained continued to command the rest of the soldiers in battle.

However, it wasn't long before his expression changed because all he heard over his walkie-talkie were the screams of his subordinates.

"Don't move, hands up!"

In the second-floor hall of the school, Rogue and the other two had just barely managed to evade a few searching soldiers, only to be cornered by a large wave of soldiers.

Seeing more than a dozen submachine guns pointed at them, they were immediately too scared to move.

Having not undergone combat training, they had an innate fear of firearms and dared not activate their abilities to resist.

Just as the three were about to be captured by these soldiers with tranquilizer guns, two furious roars suddenly came from above.

"Die!"

"Take this, my power pole!"

It was Wolverine and Hawking who had discovered the situation here and pounced directly from the third-floor corridor.

Stabbing hearts, slitting throats, using the bodies of dead soldiers to block bullets—in just a few seconds, Wolverine had already killed six soldiers. However, as he rushed towards the seventh, he realized there were no soldiers left standing.

It turned out that the remaining eleven soldiers had all been taken down by Hawking.

"Xiao Houzi, well done!"

Pushing away the corpse from his claw, Wolverine couldn't help but praise Hawking again.

Along the way, they had encountered several waves of invading soldiers, and Hawking's performance had indeed impressed him.

Not only the powerful energy attack at the beginning, but later Hawking also displayed combat abilities and physical fitness even stronger than his own, as well as the strong inner spirit a warrior should possess.

Crucially, Hawking was only twelve years old.

"Logan, I told you, don't call me Xiao Houzi!"

Hawking stuck his power pole into his back and couldn't help but roll his Byakugan.

He knew Wolverine didn't mean to mock him by calling him Xiao Houzi, because his twelve-year-old body, coupled with the tail behind his butt, indeed fit the moniker Xiao Houzi perfectly.

However, he didn't want Xiao Houzi to be his codename when he was introduced in the future.

"This is Wolverine, this is Cyclops, this is Storm, and this is... Xiao Houzi?"

It was totally lame, wasn't it!

But honestly, fighting alongside Wolverine on this journey, he had also witnessed Wolverine's strength.

Wolverine's strength wasn't about how amazing his combat abilities were; his combat abilities were not bad, even far surpassing most people, but they weren't top-tier.

His powerful aspect was his nearly immortal self-healing body, combined with his almost indestructible Adamantium skeleton and claws. Unless he encountered natural counters like Magneto and Professor X, ordinary people truly couldn't outlast him.

Of course, that wasn't the most crucial point. The most crucial point was his incredibly strong inner spirit and nearly two centuries of combat experience.

Combat experience differs from fighting techniques; rich combat experience allows him to always utilize every advantage of his body and surrounding environment to defeat opponents stronger than himself.

Just like Brother Long in the furniture store.

"Then what should I call you, Gorilla, or King Kong?"

Wolverine joked.

Hawking always acted like a little adult, and he couldn't help but want to tease him.

"Alright, whatever you want."

Hawking shrugged, knowing it was useless to argue. He'd wait until the day he transformed into his Great Ape form to let Wolverine know how unfitting the name Xiao Houzi was for him.

"Logan!"

Seeing Logan appear, Rogue immediately pounced on him. Logan was her best friend.

When she was at her most lonely and helpless, Logan had helped her.

"Alright, it's not safe yet. Follow me and Xiao Houzi. We'll take you to the secret passage."

Logan released Rogue, and before his words had even finished, the large glass window in the second-floor hall suddenly shattered, and three attack helicopters appeared there.

"Xiao Houzi!"

Logan immediately looked at Hawking. Along the way, Hawking's barehanded energy beams had taken down four more attack helicopters.

However, this time Hawking didn't use Kamehameha; instead, he drew out the power pole from his back.

"power pole, extend!"

At Hawking's command, the power pole rapidly extended and directly pierced into the middle attack helicopter outside.

"Ha ah!"

With his muscles bursting, Hawking forcefully swung the extended power pole left and right.

To the wide-eyed astonishment of Rogue and the other two behind him, the middle helicopter was actually controlled by Hawking's immense strength and slammed heavily into the helicopters on either side.

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

All three attack helicopters exploded and fell.

Although Kamehameha was powerful, it consumed too much internal energy. Even the thirteen-year-old Son Goku couldn't use it continuously.

"Retreat, everyone retreat!"

The sergeant, who had already arrived on the lawn outside the school, heard that another dozen elite soldiers had been sacrificed and three attack helicopters destroyed. He gritted his teeth and issued the final retreat order.

Only fewer than ten men and two attack helicopters remained from this operation; if they didn't retreat now, they would be completely wiped out.

"They are retreating!"

After sending Rogue and the other two into the secret passage on the first floor, Hawking and Wolverine were preparing to continue hunting the invading soldiers, but they found that the enemy was no longer attacking and was rapidly retreating.

The two chased downstairs, and the only two remaining helicopters had already taken off.

"Those bastards got away!"

Wolverine lit a cigar, took a puff, and said with some regret.
