"Alright, I'll give you one hundred thousand."
Cecilia Nathan's words made the man freeze for a moment, thinking he'd misheard.
"Really? You're really giving us a hundred thousand?" The man's eyes darted around, and he smiled obsequiously. "Good, good, good. You know what's good for you. Don't worry, once you give us the money, we'll consider our grudge settled."
Hearing Cecilia Nathan agree to give them the money so readily, Finn Hawthorne's sister looked astonished. "You're really giving us money?"
She knew she was sick and that what her father was doing was wrong, but her family was truly desperate for money right now.
She looked at Cecilia Nathan guiltily. "Miss, your money… when I grow up, I'll pay you back."
Cecilia Nathan didn't look at her, instead speaking to the man. "I have one condition. I need to know where Finn Hawthorne is."
She still wanted to ask Finn Hawthorne in person what was really going on.
