Chapter 50 - TO NAIROBI, THE CAPITAL (1)

All Aboard the aquatic blue!" The announcer's voice boomed through the entire station. The crew, consisting of Gil, Catherine, Akame and the mysterious man in white were all there. Getting their luggage checked. Or at least they would have if they had any luggage to check.

"Can you hide this for me?" Asked the man in white, he revealed something pole shaped hidden within a white.

"Why though, we've already passed the check in point." Akame asked.

"True, but actually there are multiple checks around the entire station."

"Is this why you wanted to talk about this in the toilet?" Akame wasn't one for going to public bathrooms (He can go 2 months without going to the toilet for number 1 and about 1 and a half months for number 2)

Although he had to admit, this one was much more clean than the others he'd been to in the past.

 "That is also a reason."

"Fine, give it here." Akame took the sheet, repeating the same process. Bubbles formed around the sheet, making it disappear.

"Let's go." Akame made his way to the door, "Leaving those two together for too long is bad for the entire world."

"I'll be there in a minute."

He waved off Akame as he left the stall. He stood in front of a mirror and took off his mask. His skin wasn't as pale as the boy who Jericho and Teddy were with had said he was (Back in chapter 37).

His eyes were squinty though, so that part was accurate. He washed his face. 'Getting those tickets took the entire night, I haven't been able to get any sleep. But at the very least it seems as though I have a met a legend. Oh, I can't wait to see if he's truly what the people make him out to be.'

He took one of the paper towels and used it to wipe his face before walking out of the bathroom. But he didn't put his mask on this time. After darting his eyes everywhere for a while he came across Akame and the others.

"Hey." He called out moving closer.

"Who the hell are you?" Catherine hissed at the man.

"Huh" He wondered, "Its me, the guy you've been with this entire time."

"I don't believe it." She hissed again.

"Catherine what have I told you about hissing at other people?" Akame asked.

 "To not do it."

"Yeah, then why are you doing it?"

"I forget." Catherine said with a smile.

Akame sighed, "Why the sudden trust?"

The man sat on the bench watching as Akame flipped through a Magazine.

"No trust, I just don't like it when people are suspicious of me, that's all." He answered.

"Seems your on a most wanted list." Akame thought out loud, "What for? I wonder."

"I believe a sensible man such as yourself will be able to figure it out sooner or later." He tipped his white hat more as he leaned on the chair.

Akame didn't continue the conversation for too long as he continued reading his magazine. One that I'm sure would interest you dear reader. Depending whether you enjoy travelling and learning other people's culture. With Gil a sleep and Catherine drawing a mustache with a permanent marker on his face, this was one of the only times he'd ever get any peace to do anything.

'Nairobi City, its been a while since I was last there.' He thought how many years had elapsed since he had last seen the glory of a city riddled in culture and beauty. The one place the Vatican's influence can't reach. The reason for this was due to binding contract the Pope had made with the Prime minister a few years ago. As he thought about this he realized one thing, 'Damn, I'm old.'

But other than that, perhaps this and the minister's death were related. Well either that or it's a huge coincidence. Regardless this could mean bad things for Nairobi and Loliwe as a country.

While obviously, the current minister hadn't made a deal with the Pope, since that man is like a billion years old. Not to mention that not many people know about this contract, only a few in the ministers circle. Akame remembered a time, back when he was 13 and in his second year in the Academy for sorcery right at the Vatican's heart. The only reason he's onto the information (Concerning the contract the Pope had made to the first minister), is because back then that was how they taught Binding restrictions and I guess just binding rituals in general.

They would use the Pope's many bindings as an example for all of them to learn the dangers and functions. 'Back then they probably didn't think that anybody would tell the other political figures just in-case they needed to pull a stunt like this.' But they didn't account on Akame, or rather they didn't need to because even with all of this he still wasn't going to get involved.

'Political affairs are suppose to be left for journalists and news anchors. As for me, I have my own issues to deal with.' Akame moved on to the next page, however, it would seem that the same story would not leave him be.

"That story has to be everywhere." Said the man in white, "Whoever killed the minister isn't leaving this city."

"Well, I suppose it just depends."

 "?"

"On whether the police have the balls to do anything about this case." Akame responded, "We're assuming that perhaps its just someone, somewhere with a mundane reason to kill the minister of a country that barely has any civil rights. Its more likely that whoever did this would have a big enough motivation."

"Like the Vatican perhaps?" Answered the man, "I was thinking the exact same thing."

"Then why did you kill the minister?" Akame said without looking up from the magazine.

"You figured it out already?" The man exclaimed giving an exaggerated facial expression.

"Why are you so surprised, it wasn't that difficult. The clothes you wearing are traditional East sun clothes from the island in the East that trains assassins. Not to mention the thing you gave me in the bathroom was a Katana, a sword that isn't native to this land. Also, I met a couple of people who confused me for you, and seeing as we're the only two people here who look like we're from the island I assume you killed the minister."

The man sighed, "And I thought I was doing so well."

"Personally I'm surprised you haven't been caught, especially since you've been wearing the same clothes." Akame yawned, "But if the Vatican hired you then it makes more sense."

 "Seriously? How?"

"Well, then it means that the police can't do anything because they are divided into two camps:

Locals Foreigners

By the color of their skin, if the chief of the police force in Kisumu, who is technically not a local, were to be given the assignment by the Vatican not to intervene he wouldn't be able to do it by just refusing rather he would stage something like a disagreement between the locals and the others that way they would argue over everything. Whether resources, who to send to the field and so on and so forth. That way he wouldn't go against the Vatican's wishes while still keeping him from looking like a culprit."

"That's engenius!" Exclaimed the man.

"No, there's one flaw in his plan, and its more than likely the chief knows this." Akame added.

 "Which is."

"The flaw is in form of Alchemists."

'Alright Train of serial number 8228 on dock twelve is ready to depart, I repeat train of serial number 8228 is ready to depart. All passengers hurry and board the train if that is the serial number on your ticket. 8228' A female voice spoke on the intercoms.

"Catherine wake up Gil, we're going." Akame said standing up.

Catherine put her finger into Gil's ears. "Wake up!" She said rapidly shaking her finger.

"Ouch!" Gil woke up with a start, his eyes still red. "Let's go or we'll leave you behind." She exclaimed hooking her elbow with Akame's.

"Wait up." He was still drowsy but followed the three as they departed for train.

Little did they know that there was someone seated on an opposite bench, there were also a few more scattered across the entire station eyeing them from afar. One of these men took out his phone giving a call to someone we all know.

The chief at the station received it.

 "We've found them."

"Good, kill them all then." The chief hung up, going back to his scheduled duty. 'Now then I wonder if those two are still snooping around? No matter, its not like we gave them the actual report and they should be leaving soon.'

He smiled, "Soon this country will be ours."

HIS TRUE INTENTIONS REVEALED
