Chapter 51 - TO NAIROBI, THE CAPITAL (2)

"Wow!"

Gil exclaimed as he looked out of the window.

"What is it, I wanna see." Catherine pushed him to look outside.

"Wow!" She also exclaimed, "What am I suppose to be looking at again?"

"What do you mean, don't you see how beautiful the sea looks from this height."

The train travels at an average speed of 70 miles per hour, and currently they had just left the boundary between Kisumu and Bungoma, another city but not as big. After which they would cross a chain of islands that lead to the capital.

"At this rate we should be there in less than 8 hours, if we don't have to do any maintenance stops along the way." The man in white said.

"Unlikely, those kinds of checks are completely mandatory. We'll stop at the very least 3 times, and that's me being generous. Most likely we'll be there in about 24 hours give or take depending on how long the checks last." Akame stared out of the window.

"You're too pessimistic." Catherine spoke, "Your killing the vibe."

"What?" Gil was flabbergasted by the amount of new words this girl currently knew.

"You're too uneducated to understand." She answered.

"HA!" Laughed the man, "You guys are a riot, so how long have you known each other?"

"I don't know, like 18 years." Catherine answered.

"It can't be ,aren't you 18?" Gil spoke, "Maybe its coz your terrible at math."

"Shut you mouth." She slapped his head.

 "What is your problem!"

"Are they always like this?" Asked the man.

 "Yep, sadly."

Akame looked at Gil. There was something on his mind, something he was wondering for sometime now.

 "Gil."

"Yessir?" He immediately stopped fighting with Catherine.

"Do you know any form of martial arts?" It was a dumb question on his part however there was no other way to explain the phenomenon he had witnessed the other day.

 "No… what's that?"

 "Fighting techniques."

"Oh, then no I don't. I've just been winging it this entire time."

'Makes sense, I wasn't expecting him to know that. However…' He spoke again, "The how did you do that move last night?"

 "What move?"

"When you did a three way kick. One to the thigh, one to the lower torso and one to the upper jaw?"

"Oh that?" Gil paused for a moment, "A few months ago Blake showed me videos of when he was training you, he then asked me to memorize some of them and practice. It took a day but I think I was able to figure it out."

'I figured out all those moves fast too, but in a day? That's just…'

"Impossible." The man finished off Akame's thought process, "Learning Jujutsu in a day is just impossible. Not necessarily because of how you can take in things but rather because there are just too many rules to get right."

"What about a week?" Akame asked, "That's how long it took me."

"10 days for me. It's common for people with that affinity to master it easily."

 "Affinity?" Gil asked.

"Capability." Catherine answered. "It means capability right?"

 "Yes something along those lines."

 Catherine smiled.

"To have an affinity with a type of martial arts there are many things you have to determine:

Your own character and how you would like to use it during combat. How comfortable you are with some of the rules in the specific martial arts setting. The amount of fragment energy you can hold and use. And most importantly which fragment category you fall into."

Gil sat up, "What does a fragment category mean?"

"Seriously?" The man turned to Akame, "What are you teaching him?"

"I'm not teaching him anything, why would you assume I was his teacher?" Akame answered, his voice calm.

The man sighed, from his pocket he took out a note book and a pencil and he began drawing something.

 "Ok, here."

"What about this specialist part." Gil pointed out that he had not made any notes about that category.

ALCHEMIST-- FULLBRINGERS--HUNTERS--ELEMENTALS---WITCHES---SPECIALISTS

"Oh, that's the rarest one, somebody in that category has affinity to be in any of the other categories. Not that they can use all of them to the highest proficiency but rather that they are able to use them at around 80% depending on the person." The man turned to Akame, "Did you seriously not teach him any of this?"

 "Again, I'm not his teacher."

"In any case, if you want to add… wait just to check, you know what chakra points are, right?"

"Yeah, and I know that there are 8 of them." Gil gave a smug look.

"Oh, great so how many have you opened?"

 "…."

"There are 8, one to the eyes, one to the heart, one to the brain, one to the skin, one to the nose, one to the mouth, one to the ears and the last one is at the base of the stomach. Assuming you can see your friend their who is almost completely fragment energy." He pointed at Catherine, "I'd say you've unlocked the one to the eyes, the third gate. The fourth is the one to the brain so two and because you can circulate fragment energy through the body number four is also unlocked."

"One, two, three… so I have five left to open?"

"Not necessarily, it depends on what you wanna do. For example all of us need to see fragment energy, so the third gate is a must. But gate eight or the one to the heart isn't really that important in fighting. Unlocking all the gates just gives you amazing fragment energy control. That way you can control the amount of output that you produce whether in form of sorcery or enhancements." The man focused back on the paper, "So which category do you think your in?"

Gil thought for a moment before pointing.

"You think you're an elemental?" He asked.

 "Yeah because I can use…"

"Shh!" The man said, "Don't go around telling everyone your type of sorcery, otherwise they might use that against you."

 "Oh, ok."

"If you think you're an Elemental then I'd recommend learning Jujutsu. There are different types but you just need to master the basics."

"Can I keep this?" Gil asked.

"Of course you can. Also remember to practice keeping your gates open everyday, otherwise it'll overwhelm you as you keep unlocking them."

 "Yeah."

The man leaned back, "You should at least put more effort in helping him."

"Mhh, again, I'm not his teacher."

FWOOOSH!

Akame's eyes widened, "Did you feel that?"

"A while back ago, I kind of ignored it but it must be…"

 "Other sorcerers are on board."

"What's wrong with that?" Catherine asked, "I thought they'd be tons of sorcerers on a train."

"Normally you'd be right, however, the amount of bloodlust they're emitting makes me think they aren't here for a cup of tea." Akame got up.

 "Hey can I…"

Bubbles of black appeared and them the white piece of cloth covering something pole like.

"What's that?" Gil and Catherine asked in unison.

"Well then, I'll introduce you my little friend."
