Chapter 59 - TO NAIROBI, THE CAPITAL (6)

Six Stars doesn't seem like much of a big jump, especially when its being actively compared to five or four stars. But what people fail to tell you is that once you begin climbing from four stars the gap begins widening.

If you don't get it, try imagining it like this. 1-to-3-star sorcerers are close to each other (In terms of accomplishment and strength). But once you enter four stars you begin seeing insane power levels.

For example, all Count saints of the Vatican are five stars or higher. If its still hard to imagine, then only 2% of sorcerers are actually labeled five star sorcerers. And only 0.0001% are six star sorcerers. Meanwhile the remaining percentage is distributed among the remaining sorcerers. Can you see it now? Gaining title of six star sorcerer is no small feat, considering the amount of power you must wield in order to gain such.

'I got a strange feeling that the strength he showed me and Teddy wasn't even a fraction of what he was actually capable of.'

After the briefing the crew would set off to Molo, Nakuru county to begin their investigation along with thousands of others seeking to obtain the reward.

"How does he expect us to about defeating someone like him?" Justine grumbled as he drove into the highway. "I can't torture someone whose stronger than me."

"Stop your bitching, I'm working on it." Angel sat shotgun this time actively making notes as they went on. Her mind clearly focused on the task at hand.

Meanwhile Jericho and Teddy sat in the back contemplating what I can only assume was last night's situation. This had to do with the fact that they still couldn't believe they were in the midst of a killer one who had massacred millions in fact. In truth the Vatican site didn't really provide much in the realm of information. However, certain restricted sites did have information that the Vatican would rather have hidden from the world.

"Its disgusting, he's worse than that assassin by far."

Teddy didn't respond, he still had his doubts on the validity of such information, especially with how long it had been. "He didn't give off that vibe though." Teddy tried reassuring himself.

"Not everything's about vibe you know! God damn it!"

"What are they two of you discussing back there?" Justine asked, "Is it interesting?"

"How about you just try minding your own business." Angel intervened.

 "What's that suppose to mean?"

 "Exactly that, just drive."

"I don't mind the question." Teddy tried to calm the situation down.

"Well I do." Said both the girls in unison.

Justine sighed and focused on the road a head.

'Scum like him is what I hate the most.' Jericho thought. Right there and then she made a promise she would break, 'I'll kill him.'

The wheels kept turning as the group was headed for Nakuru county.

MEANWHILE, SOMEWHERE IN NAKURU COUNTY

"I've never seen a desert before." Gil was amazed by the amount of lack of plant life a certain area could have. Living in a place where there was always plant life and not that many dry seasons, and they were they were wetter than most other places, he's never seen a place such as this.

"A cactus!" He shouted, "I read about it in my biology classes."

"You mean adaptations of plants in the desert?" Akame asked.

 "Something along those lines."

"Its interesting how this is one of the only dry counties on this side of the country." The man in whole joined in. "But just because it looks barren it doesn't mean that there isn't any life at all."

 "Really?"

"Yes, there over 1000 species of desert animals on this half of the country." Although this was more of a semi-arid than a desert area, but still that information remained under wraps for the time being. Mainly because the two didn't wanna ruin Gil's fun.

"Wow, how do you guys know all of this?"

"I don't know about Akame-san, but I for one am a hunter sorcerer." Said the man in white.

Hunter sorcerers: Who have multiple branches however, they mainly deal with exploring and hunting for valuable jewels and treasures as well as other things like cars, humans, drug trafficking, depending on what you want.

To become a hunter sorcerer one must develop certain animal or physical adaptations. But this will also depend on which type of hunter sorcerer you are, for which there are around four I can think of.

Jewel hunters. Assassin or people hunters I guess. Ancient city hunters. Plant and wildlife hunters.

I can't remember the other types, but perhaps we will meet them along the way.

"Physical adaptations include photographic memory, big eyes, giant hands or something along those lines."

 "What's your adaptation?"

 "That's a secret."

The man said with a smile.

"Hey look!" For the first time in a while Catherine actually spoke. Over a small hill she stood at its peak and observed the surrounding pastural land.

"Wow its extremely green." The man exclaimed, "Is this natural?"

"I was just about to ask that myself." Akame pondered, "Something around here just doesn't sit right with me."

"Tell me about it, its got and eerie air about it as well. Could be dangerous. Perhaps we should take a longer route."

"Weeeeh" Catherine got on her back and rolled down the grassy hill.

"We could do that, or we could just go through and see what happens." Akame suggested.

"I thought you were the sensible one in this group." The man sighed.

"Sensibility isn't necessarily my strong suit, but I do like me a good adventure. If something bad happens we'll have to deal with it."

Akame followed sliding down the hill after Catherine.

There was one other things Akame failed to mention, which was the actual reason they had to use that route. It was simply because they had no time to dilly dally. If they didn't hurry all ports in the capital would close down, which would affect their plans of heading of the country via boat. Obviously the man in white would figure this out later, but for now he felt utterly disappointed.

He followed with Gil not too far behind.

"Bleh!" Catherine spat, "I think I got grass in my mouth."

The fields were vast and somewhat green, there were no buildings or houses for a couple of miles as the crew walked, taking some time to take a break before they continued moving.

It wasn't until they reached a peculiar place to rest up that Akame noticed something in the distance.

"They look like temporary housing." He said to himself, everyone else was busy trying to get a fire started before night took center stage.

"Oh, I get were we are!" He exclaimed, this exclamation made everyone drop what they were doing to look at him.

 "We're in Massai land."
