On the balcony, night falls
Irel and Lytheil sat together, holding hands
Irel: " tonight were going to leave, right?"
Lytheil: "Yes
Irel tightened his grip on Lytheil's hand
Lytheil cupped Irel's face softly and kissed his cheek
Irel, blushing: "What was that all of a sudden?"
Lytheil, teasingly: "Nothing… can't I?"
Irel, embarrassed: "You—"
A sudden knock on the door
Both turned
They opened it
Knight: "Prince… your majesty is calling in the palace."
Inside the palace
Both fathers and grandfathers waited. The tension was thick
Irel's grandfather, angrily:
"What is this? You're in love, and you and—your father—hid it from me?!"
Lytheil's grandfather:
"It was your father's then… and now you two. Stop it before you suffer like them, for your own good."
Irel's father:
"I am the king here. I decide for my son. Enough."
Irel's grandfather: (eyes widening) "You dare speak back to me?!"
Lytheil's father:
"It is up to us now. Whatever we decide, that is the outcome."
Lytheil's grandfather: "Let's see if you dare…"
The palace doors flung open
Irel's grandfather: "Are you willing to go against two kingdoms?"
Irel and Lytheil's fathers, together:
"We will go against anything to protect our sons. You both failed as a father — and now you're asking us to fail as a father
Lytheil's father
Never aasholes
Irel's father
We will never fail as fathers
Swords drawn
The fathers wielded their blades
Irel's father
Irel lythiel go now
They hesitated
They both turned and smiled softly and said
....Live with your love.....
They both smiled with tears in their eyes and ran
Knights from both kingdoms protected them as they fled
The fathers killed their fathers
The fathers fought fiercely to keep enemies at bay, sacrificing everything
Irel's father and lytheil's father looked back seeing their sons far away being safe with loyal knights
They looked at each other and their eyes blurred
They put down their swords
Lytheil's father: atleast they didn't failed
Irel's father: "They've broken the pattern."
both fathers were struck in the chest, kneeling together they both fell together on the palace floor
Holding hands, they chuckled faintly
"At least… we die together."
Irel's father: "You know what? I have never… not even once… regretted loving you in my entire life."
Lytheil's father: "But I regretted every single moment of my life for not having you."
Irel's father: "If another life exists… I want to find you again, love you again, and never lose you."
Lytheil's father: (smiling softly) "Another life, huh…? I hope it exists, so I can see you again and love you once more."
Irel and Lytheil reached the edge of the kingdom, hearts pounding
They saw the other knights standing there with worried faces
The knights face's lit up when they saw them
They both entered the ship with the knights and the ship started
Irel
Where is the personal knight of my father and lytheil's father
Other knight:
They both are on other country for some reason
The king ordered them to do something it's been few days since they left
Lytheil
Do you know when they will arrive the kings are battling alone without any support
Other knight
Don't worry we have already informed them what's happening
Irel's and lytheil's heart was on uneasy thinking about their fathers
The other knights smiled warmly looking at a ship
They are here ....
The knights' ship arrived at the kingdom as the princes' ship sailed far away from the kingdom
The personal knights saw smoke rising from the palace. Without a second thought, they ran toward it.
When they arrived, horror froze them in place. Both kings lay on the palace floor, hands clasped together, blood flowing from their chests. Their hands trembled, their breaths shallow, suffocated by the scene before them
Irel's father's knight fell to his knees, tears streaming down his face, shaking his head in disbelief. His chest ached as he clenched it, unable to comprehend the loss
Lytheil's father's knight ran forward, tears coming from his eyes he shaked lytheil's father's body
Not believing that he is dead
The two knights lowered their heads, grief consuming them. When they looked up, their eyes were dead
_ Filled with emptiness _
they drew their swords. Outside the kingdom, they unleashed their fury. They cut down the knights of their own kingdoms,
_ They burned the two kingdoms _
Only the innocents were spared, sent fleeing to safety.
Returning to the palace,
Irel's father's knight took irels father in his arms
Lytheil's father's knight took lytheil's father in his arms
Irel's father's knight whispered through his tears,
"Forgive me… I couldn't protect you. Not then… not now
I've always loved you, though I never could say it
My life… it is full of regrets. I lived meaninglessly and without you."
Lytheil's father's knight muttered with pain
"Forgive me… I failed again and again.
I love you....
Together, they said
"Loving someone you can never have… seeing them suffer in love…it is pure hell but the thing more than pure hell is to hold the lifeless body of your love in your arms."
Irel's father's knight: "In another life… I won't fail to protect you."
"Never"
Lytheil's father's knight: "In another life… I will never leave you. Never again."
"Never"
The kingdoms crumbled around them, falling into chaos, a mirror to the heartbreak that had claimed their hearts
Irel and Lytheil watched the kingdom crumble from afar.
They fell to their knees, hearts shattering
Their eyes blurred with tears as they whispered in unison,
"Father…"
Breath caught in their throats, chest burning, they trembled on the edge of madness
The knights held them tightly, tears streaming down their own faces, struggling to calm the young princes
They whispered:
_ "Is it cost this much.... for a love to be free "_
