Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: The Shadow of Peace and the Return of Unseen Fear

After that terrifying night at the village and the liberation from the toxic influence of the ancient well, the atmosphere felt remarkably different as we returned to the city. As I rolled down the car window, a cool breeze brushed against my face, but this time, it lacked that piercing sting that used to shatter the soul. Imran Baba remained silent throughout the journey; his prayer beads moved incessantly through his fingers, and his eyes remained closed, as if he were still communicating with a hidden world.

A New Feeling at the Threshold

When we pulled up in front of our house, I noticed that the dark gloom and dread that had clung to the walls for years seemed to have evaporated. My wife and younger sister were waiting at the door. The paleness and terror that had defined their faces were finally being replaced by the soft glow of relief.

As soon as Imran Baba stepped out of the car, he cast a deep look toward the house and spoke with a faint smile:

"Hassan, today the very soil of this home has breathed a sigh of relief. The root that was eating away at your family like a silent parasite has finally turned to ash."

However, his words carried a protective warning. He informed me that the next 40 days were of utmost importance. When an ancient influence is uprooted, it often makes one final, desperate attempt to reclaim its territory before vanishing forever.

The First Night of Tranquility

That night, for the first time in months, we didn't feel the need to keep every light in the house burning out of fear. I lay in my room, watching the moonlight filter through the window. The silver ring Imran Baba had given me pulsed with a gentle, soothing warmth on my finger.

Suddenly, I felt a presence, as if someone were standing in the corner of the room. My heart began to race. I immediately recalled Imran Baba's instruction: "Stop being afraid, for your fear is their fuel." I closed my eyes and began reciting Ayat-ul-Kursi. Within moments, the sensation vanished, and I fell into a sleep so deep it felt like the first true rest I'd had since childhood.

A New Revelation

The next morning, my sister told me she had seen Shah Saab in her dream.

The Vision: Shah Saab was sitting in a radiant, luminous garden, dressed in pure white robes.

The Message: He spoke to her, saying, "The path is clear now, but the traveler must always remain vigilant."

This dream gave me renewed strength. I realized that even after his passing, Shah Saab's prayers were still shielding us—and finding Imran Baba was a direct result of those blessings.

Imran Baba's New Instructions

I visited Imran Baba in the afternoon. He seemed deep in thought. He gestured for me to sit beside him and said:

"Hassan, breaking the curse by removing that bundle from the well has freed your family, but now you must begin a cycle of 'Sadqa' (charity) and 'Khairat'. Those dark forces will now try to strike at your livelihood and sustenance."

Imran Baba gave me new prayers to recite and suggested we hold a Quran Khwani (Quranic recitation gathering) at home to cleanse any remaining spiritual impurities.

The Turning Point: An Anonymous Letter

In the evening, as I returned home, I found an old envelope slipped under the door. There was no name on it—only a specific mark. It was the same symbol that had been inscribed on the bundle we dug up from the village well.

My fist clenched as I opened the envelope. Inside was a single sentence:

"What was sown has been reaped, but the spirits still buried in the earth will demand their share."

Was this the enemy's final psychological strike? Or was a new trial beginning? I decided right then that I would not back down. Imran Baba was with me, and more importantly, my faith was now unshakable.
