Lyra's POV
"Excellent," she announced, positioning herself in the center of our training circle. "Today we'll divide into two separate groups. The experienced shifters will train with me on extended runs through the forest. The newer shifters will work with Mr. Eclipse on mastering shift control techniques."
I didn't need to guess which group I'd be assigned to. My eyes found Xander immediately, shooting him a withering look. He mirrored my expression, his tongue darting across his lower lip in that infuriating way of his. Obviously, he was equally thrilled about our forced partnership.
"Form your groups now," Castillo commanded. "Cooper, Daven, and Barrett will work with Mr. Eclipse. Everyone else follows me."
I glanced sideways and watched the same two jerks who'd been harassing me earlier stride confidently toward Xander. Perfect. Just absolutely perfect. I let out an irritated breath before reluctantly joining the group.
