Xander's POV
"Did you catch wind of that chaos at the café yesterday morning?" Kenji asked, sinking further into the beat-up leather sofa in my apartment.
"What kind of chaos?" Dimitri responded, eyes glued to his phone screen.
"Ironwood and Nightshade went completely feral. Full shift, claws out, the whole damn spectacle."
"Are you serious?" Dimitri's head jerked up. "Eclipse, you heard anything about this?"
I pressed my palm against my forehead, the booze making my head spin. The rumors had reached me, but this was the absolute last thing I wanted to hash out tonight. I took a heavy swig from my beer bottle.
"It's nothing worth discussing," I mumbled. "Just idiots being idiots."
"Come on, man," Kenji shook his head with that smug grin. "Word is they were scrapping over Lyra Cooper."
