Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: Orphanage's Peaceful Life

From that day on, Minamikawa Yuu began to resume his normal life as a student at the Ninja Academy.

However, starting from then, those around him clearly felt a change in him.

Before his memories awakened, Minamikawa Yuu's personality was very dull, and he had almost no communication with the people around him.

It couldn't be helped; after all, he was an orphan.

As an orphan without parents to care for him, there truly weren't many who could maintain a cheerful personality.

Someone like Uzumaki Naruto was a minority among minorities and couldn't be judged by common logic.

But the current Minamikawa Yuu's conduct was clearly worlds apart from his past self.

However, the people around him were only surprised for a while and soon got used to it.

After all, he was just an ordinary child, not some genius from a prestigious clan; who would spend all their time paying attention to him?

Minamikawa Yuu was also aware of this, so he didn't care about the changes in himself.

Of course, a slight change in personality didn't matter, as children change very quickly after all.

But the change in his talent as a Ninja couldn't be too great, otherwise, he would inevitably risk being targeted.

So, for the following period of time, he maintained restraint, blending in with the surrounding students like dust in the light.

One day, after school was over, he didn't go home as usual but instead went to a certain place.

This was the Konoha Orphanage, where many orphans lived.

"Yuu, you're back!"

"How is life at the Ninja Academy?"

Along the way, many people greeted Minamikawa Yuu.

Minamikawa Yuu responded to them one by one with a smile on his face.

He was also an orphan and had grown up in the Orphanage for several years before, so he was naturally not unfamiliar with this place.

In the current Orphanage, many of his past playmates were still there.

Most of the children who stayed in the Orphanage had no talent for being Ninjas, so they would stay as students until they reached the age of ten before leaving to find their own way in the world.

But for now, their lives could barely be maintained, and it wasn't too bad.

Walking along, Minamikawa Yuu soon arrived at the Director's office.

"Director."

He entered holding fresh flowers and nodded respectfully at the old man in front of him.

Inside the office, an old man sat there, and looking at Minamikawa Yuu, a smile appeared on his face: "It's Yuu."

"It's really been a long time."

He was the Director of this Orphanage, and to the orphans who had lived here in the past, he was like a father.

And by now, he had almost reached the age where he should retire.

Minamikawa Yuu knew this, so he had made a special visit to see The Old Director off.

"How is life at the Ninja Academy? Have you adjusted?"

Looking at Minamikawa Yuu, The Old Director asked concernedly: "Is anyone causing trouble for you?"

Minamikawa Yuu responded to the old man's questions one by one with a smile, showing no impatience at all.

He knew that the old man before him had no ill intentions toward him and was simply worried about whether he was doing well.

Not everyone could adapt to life at the Ninja Academy.

Becoming a Ninja was certainly a path for upward mobility for people in this world, but it was also extremely dangerous and arduous.

Many of the former children from the Orphanage had chosen this path, but not many had a good outcome.

With those past examples, The Old Director couldn't help but be a little worried.

"Ah, about that."

Minamikawa Yuu replied with a smile: "Please rest assured, I don't have any problems."

"The path to becoming a Ninja is inevitably difficult, but I feel I can handle it. There are no issues."

"That's good then."

The Old Director sighed in relief and then said with a smile: "As expected of a descendant of Ninjas, you really are more suited to becoming a Ninja than others."

"A descendant of Ninjas is also a human; they don't have anything more than others."

Minamikawa Yuu spoke softly: "Whether one is suited to be a Ninja depends not on their birth, but on their personal talent and will."

"That is indeed true."

The Old Director said with a smile: "It's just that compared to others, you are always the one who puts my mind at ease."

"Sigh, time passes too quickly. I remember when you were just a three or four-year-old child."

The Old Director felt a bit sentimental: "In the blink of an eye, I'm about to leave this place and retire."

"Before I retire, is there anything you need me to do?"

He looked at Minamikawa Yuu: "Although I am old and not some powerful Ninja, I've still gotten to know quite a few people over all these years."

"If you run into trouble, I might be able to help."

"Actually, there really is one thing I need your help with."

Minamikawa Yuu thought for a moment and then spoke: "I want to learn Medical Ninjutsu."

"Medical Ninjutsu?"

A look of surprise appeared on The Old Director's face.

"Yes."

Minamikawa Yuu nodded: "The longer I stay at the Ninja Academy, the more I feel my own limitations."

"Compared to going to the battlefield to kill people, I still prefer the feeling of treating illnesses and saving lives."

"So, I want to learn Medical Ninjutsu and enter Konoha Hospital in the future to become a Medical Ninja."

Not liking to kill was merely an excuse.

From his heart, Minamikawa Yuu naturally did not enjoy killing, but he hadn't reached the point of resisting being a Ninja because of it.

The reason he said this was mainly because he wanted to escape the upcoming battlefield.

The atmosphere in the Ninja World was already not quite right, and a war was very likely to break out in the near future.

When that time came, even if Minamikawa Yuu was not yet an official Ninja and was just an ordinary student at the Ninja Academy, he would certainly be dragged onto the battlefield.

Minamikawa Yuu definitely had to find a way to avoid this risk.

But as for exactly how to avoid it, there was a strategy involved.

Becoming a Medical Ninja was the most ideal way.

Unlike ordinary Ninjas, the status of a Medical Ninja was relatively higher, and the importance they could play on the battlefield was also greater.

Ordinary Ninjas needed to go to the front lines to fight the enemy, while most Medical Ninjas only needed to hide in the base and treat the wounded.

While the risk was greatly reduced, the benefits could also be significantly increased.

The most crucial point was that Medical Ninjutsu was also something Minamikawa Yuu was good at.

During those fifty years of reincarnation, he hadn't been idle.

In addition to handling state affairs, he also actively learned and mastered various types of knowledge related to the use of Chakra.

Among all types of Ninjutsu, in order to prolong his life and maintain his condition as much as possible, Medical Ninjutsu was what he had studied the most and mastered the best.

Theoretically speaking, with his current level of Medical Ninjutsu, it wouldn't be out of the question for him to go directly to Konoha Hospital to serve as a Medical Ninja.

However, having the skill was one thing; whether he could directly reveal and use it was another matter entirely.
