Chapter 18 - Second Fight

(oh if you already can't tell this isn't a well thought out story. This is your usual kick ass and take names type of story.)

...

"That was uh... something... I honestly expected Denki to just blast them with electricity." Asui Tsuyu commented, as she and her classmates were staring at multiple monitors that allowed them to witness the fight in the building.

"I get why Jiro and Denki did that though. Imagine taking a punch to the face from the two of them." Uraraka shivered, chills down her spine just from imagining it. Momo stared at the monitor silently.

"They made the right move there. There's no shame in surrendering when it comes to situations like these." She muttered, nodding to herself. All Might glanced down at her.

"Your point is interesting. Care to explain, Young Momo?" Momo gasped a little, her face flustered from the sudden request. She looked to see that all eyes were on her, waiting for her to speak.

Momo cleared her throat and began to speak up. "W-well... In situations like these, when the enemy is outclasses us, direct engagement would be the worst option..." She took a breath before continuing.

"And in this case, if the objective is to secure the nuclear weapon, then charging a superior enemy to look cool is a very bad idea, consequently increasing the probability of catastrophic failure." She explained. All Might nodded, crossing his arms. Momo here seemed like a smart girl and the number one hero wanted to test her.

Aizawa seemed to have a similar idea, beating All Might to it and spoke first. "So if direct confrontation is a no go, what do you suggest we do?" He asked. Momo blinked, cogs in her head spinning crazily. On the spot thinking wasn't something unfamiliar, but in situations like these, her words would decide the fate of millions, it's a nuclear weapon after all.

The class watched as Momo stood there, a serious expression on her face. Sukuna and the rest had already returned, watching the scene silently.

"First we'd get heroes suitable for the job to focus on disruption such as line-of-sight suppression, sabotage, buying seconds. Then we'd get engineers or support teams to cut power, scrambling detonation systems, or physically removing the device if possible while the combat type heroes fight off the villains together to buy more time."

"In a realistic situation, if Jiro and Denki had charged in, the chances of capturing the weapon would lessen. So, if we look at it in another perspective, they made the right choice by surrendering, as their strategic self sacrifice would help buy time, maybe a couple of hours, important hours that ensure the heroes succeed."

Denki whistled."Man, I never thought of it like that. I just did it because I was scared. You're a damn genius, Momo." He commented. Momo laughed nervously and scratched the back of her head.

"Well I try my best..." As Momo finished. All Might laughed, nodding all the while. "Very impressive, Young Momo! That right there, the quick decision thinking, is part of what a hero's job entails. Stressful isn't it, having the weight of the world on your shoulders?" Momo nodded in silence at All Might's question.

"That was an impressive ambush. You were acting like the darkness, unnoticed until it's too late." Sukuna glanced at Fumikage Tokoyami, a boy with the head of a black bird. Sukuna nodded at Tokoyami in return. For him and Kirishima to pull that off, Sukuna had to jump off that building before quickly re-entering it.

"No wonder I heard a loud vibration outside the building, you were out there acting like you were in Assassin's Creed." Jiro grumbled, as everyone started talking once more. All Might cleared his throat gently and began to speak again.

"Let us continue with the trial, shall we?"

.....

Sukuna stared silently, having analyzed the battle styles of most of his classmates by now. He'd give them some credit, with them knowing how to use their respective quirks well in combat situations although having no combat experience.

He'd got to know Momo more, though he hadn't talked to her yet. The girl has the makings of a great strategist, and her Quirk is quite unique if he'd say so himself. While All Might did ask for the inputs of other classmates, it was Momo who really stood out intellectually.

But nevermind that, Sukuna had another fight to settle. And this time, it was with Mina. Their opponents were an unexpected pairing, being Izuku and Bakugo. Sukuna was sure their teamwork would be wonderful.

"I say we don't waste time and just go in from the top." Mina suggested, pointing at the roof of the building. "That would he a nice surprise right?" She grinned at him.

"Question is how are you going to get up there?" Sukuna asked her. Mina hummed, tapping her chin. She then laid her eyes on him, blinking a couple of times. Sukuna noticed her stare before sighing.

"Okay... How am I going to get you up there?" He rephrased his question. It was then they heard shouting coming from the building, from a voice that they were familiar with.

"They seem to be getting along nicely." Mina commented before laughing.

"Well, since they're distracted. Let's not waste anymore time." He asked before squatting down in front of Mina who blinked at him.

"It's either this or I carry you bridal style..." Sukuna grumbled. Mina blushed before settling on the piggyback ride, getting on his back as he held her up firmly.

Black markings spread across his body as he bent his knees a little. "Don't shout or you'll give us away." He reminded before he jumped, launching him and Mina up high.

Mina's arms wrapped around Sukuna's neck area tightly, shutting her eyes as the wind blew past her violently. Upon hearing a small tap onto something solid, she opened her eyes to see that Sukuna had landed on the rooftop.

"Phew..." She sighed in relief, before being gently set down by Sukuna. She then got to work, kneeling down a little before producing a gray acidic liquid from her index finger.

Sukuna watched as Mina drew out a small hole with a concentrated blast of acid. Mina caught the small piece of concrete she cut out before placing it on the side, looking through the hole, revealing a large room.

Mina looked back at Sukuna and nodded, signifying that Izuku and Bakugo still hadn't moved from their positions, most likely still arguing. 'This makes things a whole lot easier.' He thought before clenching his fists.

"Ready?" He asked in a low tone. Mina grinned, giving him a thumbs up.

"What the fuck did I do to get a useless teammate like you! You're just a one hit wonder, Deku! You know that—"

A giant boom sounded across the room as the entire rooftop above them collapsed, they looked up in surprise to see Sukuna and Mina, both grinning widely, falling towards them.

Bakugo growled in frustration as he avoided the falling pieces, using his explosions while Izuku frantically ran away. Sukuna and Mina landed before them.

"Hey, Kats! You sure you and Izuku can handle all of this?!" Mina grinned, pointing at her and Sukuna, staring at them with a small smirk.

"You better give it your all! Cuz we sure ain't holding back!"

"Tch...Just great! if one pink head isn't already a pain in the ass. Now we have his pink alien girlfriend joining in..."

Bakugo just might develop a phobia for the color pink after this.
