Kade nodded. "Make sure my parents know to keep her there. Quiet. No interaction with anyone outside immediate family until I give the word."
"Understood, Alpha."
They walked together toward the boardroom, Kade's mind running through scenarios and contingencies. Richard would be looking for weaknesses. For leverage. For any sign that Kade's aggressive move had been anything other than pure strategic calculation.
He could not know about Dakota. Not yet. Not until Kade decided the timing was right.
"Alpha," Marcus said carefully. "The Luna... does she know about the delegation?"
"No."
"Are you planning to tell her?" Marcus asked quietly, falling into step beside Kade as they walked toward the boardroom.
"Eventually." Kade's tone carried finality. "But not today. Today she rests and recovers. Tomorrow we can deal with the complications of her family being here."
Marcus wisely didn't push further, simply nodding as they approached the massive double doors.
