….

"Well," I said, "I wanted to grind levels. Skyrim can wait."

I opened my inventory.

[Equip: Novice Robes of Destruction]

[Equip: Ring of Mana Regeneration]

[Equip: Imperial Steel Gauntlets]

The heavy robes materialized over my clothes, and the steel gauntlets clamped onto my forearms with a reassuring weight. I stepped out onto the porch, the wood creaking under my boots.

The zombies turned in unison, eyes locking onto fresh meat.

"Oh, I can't tell you how happy I am right now," I laughed, sparks of purple lightning beginning to dance between my fingers. "I've always wanted to test the zombie apocalypse theory."

….

Six Hours Later:-

I leaned against the brick wall of my house, chest heaving. The air in the dungeon tasted like ozone and rotting meat.

"Breathe in... breathe out," I muttered, wiping a smear of black ichor from my cheek.

I turned back to the street. It was a massacre. A smoldering heap of what used to be the neighborhood's undead population.

"Okay," I panted. "I'm not going to lie. That was the best six hours of my life."

A low groan came from around the corner. Six more zombies shambled into view, dragging their feet but moving with hungry intent.

I just laughed. I didn't even raise my guard properly; I just held up my right hand.

"Sparks."

Twin streams of purple lightning erupted from my fingertips. The first two zombies didn't even get close; they convulsed as the voltage cooked them from the inside out, dropping to the pavement as smoking husks.

The other four broke into a run.

I shut off the magic and sprinted to meet them. I ducked under a clumsy swing from the third zombie and swept my leg low. Whisper Fang Style. It wasn't elegant, but the Orcish strength behind the kick shattered their shins. They hit the asphalt hard.

The fifth one lunged, grabbing my collar with a death grip, teeth snapping inches from my jugular.

"Nope."

I didn't panic. I drove my fist straight into its chest. The impact lifted it off its feet, sending it flying backward into the last remaining zombie. As it hit the ground, I channeled mana through my gauntlet. Zap. Its head smoked, and it stopped moving.

I grabbed the nearest corpse by the belt and hurled it onto the others, making a gruesome pile of limbs.

I raised both hands. "Burn."

I unleashed everything I had left. The lightning arced and jumped between the bodies, frying them until there was nothing left but ash and silence.

I stood over the pile, adrenaline fading into satisfaction. I cleared my throat and put on my thickest, most stereotypical Russian accent.

"You are dead now, but you were dead before! Ah, fuck you!"

I chuckled, shaking my head. "God, I always wanted to say that."

I looked around the desolate, gray version of my neighborhood. The grind was done.

"I think that's enough for today."

I walked back into my house, flopped onto the couch, and focused on the command.

[Escape ID.]

The world twisted. The gray filter vanished, replaced by the warm, artificial light of the living room. The silence of the dead was replaced by the hum of the refrigerator. I looked over at the kitchen sink; the water was running perfectly.

"I wonder..."

I looked at the clock on the wall.

6:00 PM.

"School ended at two. I started training around three. It's six now." I did the math. "So, three hours out here equals six hours in the zombie dungeon. A 1:2 ratio. Good to know."

I went to rub my face and caught a whiff of my shirt. I gagged. I smelled like ozone, sweat, and decay.

"Okay. Shower now. Questions later."

….

Twenty minutes later, I felt human again.

Freshly showered and dressed in clean lounge wear, I sat back down in the living room with a bottle of water. I felt heavy, good heavy. Like I'd spent the day at the gym.

"Okay," I said, leaning forward. "Show me the gains. Status."

[Name: Shiro]

[Level: 16 (12%)]

[HP: 150/150]

[MP: 150/150]

[STR: 16]

[END: 14]

[AGI: 15]

[INT: 10]

[WIS: 15]

[LUK: 10]

[Stat Points: 39]

[Money: $1000]

"Wow."

I stared at the numbers. I'd jumped six levels. But more importantly, my physical stats, Strength, Endurance, Agility, had gone up without me spending a single point.

"So, physical exertion actually grinds the stats naturally," I realized, tapping my chin. "That changes everything. If I can get strong just by fighting, I don't need to dump my points into STR or AGI unless I hit a wall. I can save them for emergencies, or pump stats that are harder to train, like Luck or Intelligence."

I checked the [Skills] tab next.

[Destruction Mastery: Level 25]

[Sparks (Novice): 12%]

[Perk Unlocked: Novice Destruction] (Novice spells cost 50% less MP).

[Perk Unlocked: Dual Casting] (Overcharge a spell with both hands for 2.2x power).

[Perk Unlocked: Apprentice Destruction] (Apprentice spells cost 50% less MP).

[Restoration Mastery: Level 15]

[Healing (Novice): 51%]

[Healing Hands (Apprentice): 0%]

[Fighting Mastery: Level 15]

[Whisper Fang Style: Lv 5]

"Dual Casting is huge," I muttered. "That's my heavy artillery sorted. And the mana reduction means I can fight twice as long."

I closed the skill window. "But that still doesn't explain why I couldn't go back to Skyrim earlier."

As if waiting for the question, a new window popped up.

[Dungeon Info: Skyrim World (Level 2)]

[Cooldown Active]

[Time unti entry allowed: 13 Hours 15 Minutes]

[Mechanics:]

Time Dilation: 1 Hour Earth = 12 Hours Skyrim.

Max Duration: 6 Hours Earth (72 Hours / 3 Days Skyrim).

"Ah." It clicked. "It wasn't a glitch. It's a cooldown."

I did the math. 1 hour here is 12 hours there. If I stay for the full six hours, I get three days of training time in Skyrim. That was insane efficiency.

[Note: You may only enter an Instant Dungeon 48 hours after your last exit.]

I stared at the notification floating above my stove.

"48 hours," I muttered, stirring the sauce. "That's not too bad. It gives me two days to study, prep spells, and maybe hit the library. If I can combine Conjuration with Alteration like in Skyrim, summon a Bound Sword while using Oakflesh, I won't even need to carry physical weapons."

My stomach let out a violent growl, vibrating against the counter.

I sighed, dropping the ladle back into the pot. "Alright, you win. I'm making dinner. Just do me a favor and shut up."

I plated up the Spaghetti Bolognese, ate quickly, and crashed. The mental fatigue of using magic for the first time was catching up to me.
