Tsubasa casually picked up the grenade launcher; it felt heavy and solid. This thing weighed much more than expected; an adult would have trouble holding it steady without some effort.

By this time, Yukino had already deftly packed up all the supplies. The barrels of mineral water were large, but the young woman was meticulous and specially found several empty water bottles, filling three large ones. And their two backpacks were already stuffed full of snacks.

Tsubasa took inventory of the items currently in his possession: 1x Electro Arrow Scroll, 2x First-Aid Kits, 3x Painkiller Packs, 1x Stamina Potion, 1x Grenade Launcher with 6 rounds of ammo, three large bottles of drinking water, and a large quantity of snacks.

After fighting their way up, both of them felt somewhat exhausted. They leaned against the desk together and ate some donuts and potato chips.

If it were before, Yukino definitely wouldn't have eaten these high-calorie junk foods that easily cause weight gain... but now, living in an uncertain apocalypse, she couldn't afford to worry about that. Who knew if they would be so lucky to eat the next meal?

Chewing large mouthfuls of crisp, delicious chips, the young woman's icy expression gradually softened. Being full is one of the most fundamental needs for human survival. It is also the simplest kind of happiness...

Compared to Yukino, whose eating manners were still refined, Tsubasa the rough man was much more crude, finally stopping after wolfing down six donuts.

Taking a large gulp of mineral water, Tsubasa casually clapped his hands and then opened the Electro Arrow Scroll.

[Do you want to learn Magic ∙ Electro Arrow?]

[Yes]

[No]

Tsubasa chose [Yes], of course.

[Magic ∙ Electro Arrow (0/10)]

In an instant, the offensive magic named Electro Arrow, which would take an ordinary person at least three days to learn and seven days to be proficient enough to safely use it in a fight, was instantly learned by Tsubasa.

Tsubasa tried to guide the magic source that had appeared within him. Magic power flowed rapidly along the newly formed magical circuit.

Gradually, a surging lightning began to brew in his palm.

"Eh?" Yukino, who was swallowing a piece of cake like a little hamster beside Tsubasa, instantly widened her eyes, staring in disbelief at the gradually expanding ball of lightning in the man's hand.

CRACKLE—!!

The quiet room was filled with the crackling sound of lightning. A small, three-inch-long lightning arrow suddenly formed in Tsubasa's palm.

Then, he casually flung out the Electro Arrow.

The throw Electro Arrow hit the sofa not far from Tsubasa and Yukino. The moment it hit the target, the crackling lightning scattered, dazzling white light outspread, and overwhelming thermal energy rapidly burst forth.

The brilliant lightning illuminated the entire room, instantly stealing all visibility.

The sofa was instantly blown to shreds; the power was quite astonishing!

Tsubasa even observed crackling lightning sparks occasionally emerging from the remains. Clearly, this was the paralyzing effect mentioned on the panel.

"This... How is this possible?!" Yukino was completely dumbfounded. She blankly raised her head, and then stared at Tsubasa with disbelief: "How could you possibly learn the magic recorded on the scroll so quickly? Didn't it say that even the basics take, at least, three days, and applying in battle safely takes seven days?"

"Have you ever considered... Maybe I'm a genius?" Enjoying the ice-cold young woman's rare expression of shock, Tsubasa revealed a cocky smirk.

"You... you must be hiding something from me, right?" The intelligent Yukino clearly sensed that Tsubasa was keeping some secrets from her. But seeing that the other party didn't plan to speak, she could only let out a soft huff: "Hmph, anyway, I don't want to know your secrets."

"Hey, hey, hey, Yukinoshita-san, your pouting is way too obvious," Tsubasa, who was seeing Yukino's adorable pout, muttered to himself.

Just then, the faint sound of zombies roaring came from outside the office.

Both their expressions changed, and they instantly lost the mood for joking.

Tsubasa gripped his kukri military knife, and Yukino re-nocked an arrow. Then, the latter asked a question: "Where do we go next?"

Tsubasa looked toward the door, and then said, "First, the teachers' office; there might be other supplies. Then, we'll return to the third floor. Even if we leave, we must secure enough firearms."

In the zombie apocalypse, firearms are extremely important. Tsubasa wouldn't let such a massive amount of resources be taken away by others for free...

Watching the clock on the podium continuously tick, Kakeru's mood became increasingly worse. The young man licked his dry lips, his voice hoarse as he asked Hayato, who looked equally haggard beside him: "Hayato, what...what should we do next? Are we just going to wait here?"

"Kakeru..." Hayato held the M870 pump-action shotgun in his arms and sighed heavily: "To be honest, I've long believed that we should have gone out to search for supplies with Shiraha-san."

Anyone with eyes could see it; being trapped, staying in the classroom, wasting time waiting... was just a slow death.

The classroom was barely safe for now. But as time passed, without food and water...how long could they hold out?

Collapse was only a matter of time!

"Actually… I also agree with your suggestion." Kakeru struggled to move his dry throat, trying to generate some saliva in his parched lips: "But as soon as you suggested bringing people along for an adventure, that Makoto Ito started crying in fear. And those guys from the baseball club, like Taisuke Sawanaga, were especially protective of that good-for-nothing!"

He, Kakeru Tobe, was quite annoyed.

The classroom was gradually splitting into two factions.

One side was the hawkish faction led by Hayato Hayama.

Having experienced so much, most of them had already faced reality. Even if going out might be dangerous, they weren't going to sit around and wait to die.

On the other side were students from other schools like Makoto Ito and Taisuke Sawanaga. This group was very afraid of venturing out. Even with guns in hand, they planned to wait another day. Perhaps they could wait for reinforcements sent by the government…
