Chapter 39 - Class C Dialectic Court Session

The day of point distribution soon arrived, which was June 3rd.

It had now been two months since school enrollment, and the midterm exams had been successfully passed by everyone, so next month there would definitely be points coming into the balance.

However, unfortunately, this time Class D's points hadn't been disbursed. Even Class B (previously Class A) also didn't receive their points.

Everyone was confused and began asking their respective homeroom teachers about what happened, why weren't this month's points distributed?

Chabashira Sae with a gloomy face revealed the truth.

"Someone in our class has sexually harassed a female student from another class, and they have strong evidence. Currently, the opposing party is demanding compensation. If we can't provide it, that person will be expelled from school."

Instantly the entire class was in an uproar.

Who was this person who was so outrageous? Doing something stupid at the time of point distribution, causing everyone not to get their points.

Yamauchi with feelings of guilt laid his face on the desk, pretending to sleep. Clearly, he was the culprit who harassed that female student.

Suzune furrowed her brow, feeling something was off about this incident. She immediately asked about her suspicions.

"Why weren't Class B's points distributed either?"

Sae saw this stiff-looking class leader not even willing to call her "Teacher," so she didn't give a friendly face.

"Before asking something of others, shouldn't you fix your attitude first?"

Suzune felt there was nothing wrong with herself. She crossed her arms over her chest and didn't back down one step when facing Sae.

"I feel there's no problem with my attitude, at least it's better than a certain teacher who only knows how to smoke and drink alcohol."

"If this teacher had given a little help since the first month, this class wouldn't have reached this point now."

Sae laughed from anger.

"You're blaming me for not helping you in the first month?"

"Why don't you think about your own mistakes?"

"Everyone was at the same starting line without knowing anything, but you all could still get exam results that bad."

"Don't be too proud of yourself, Horikita Suzune."

Seeing the two of them about to have a big fight, Ryunosuke immediately stepped forward to block them both. He spread his arms to hold back each party and said in a cold tone.

"What's the use of talking like this now? Better quickly think about how to solve it."

"If not, no one will get points this month."

Everyone snapped out of their daze and began busily looking for who had harassed that female student. They swore they wouldn't let that person go. Yamauchi trembled in fear and became even more afraid to show himself.

On the other side, in Class A (now Class B), the same thing happened. However, the situation was better than Class D; at least the perpetrator was willing to admit his actions, and no classmates blamed him.

Because they were Class A (previously), the quality of the students was clearly better. Yahiko also told the details of the incident in detail. Everyone realized this was a trap—a honey trap set by Class C. Classmates who had initially been envious of Yahiko now instead laughed heartily.

Yahiko's face reddened with embarrassment. "Don't laugh! I'm also a victim here, you know!"

He cried sobbing in his leader's embrace feeling humiliated. Kohei could only comfort him resignedly.

Student Council President's Office

Student Council President, Manabu, received a report letter about sexual harassment of a female student. He adjusted the position of his black-framed glasses.

"Tachibana, announce for representatives of first-year Class C, Class B, and Class D to gather."

"The Student Council will hold a dialectic court session with Class C. Before that, the distribution of all first-year points will be postponed."

"Yes, President." answered Akane then left to carry out her task.

Before long, representatives from the three classes gathered in a meeting room. The reporting party was Class C. The objects of the report were Yamauchi Haruki from Class D and Totsuka Yahiko from Class B (ex-Class A). The report was that they had harassed Manabe Shiho from Class C, complete with strong fingerprint evidence.

The opposing party's current demand was: each class must pay compensation of 5 million personal points to settle peacefully, or the perpetrators would be expelled from school.

Hearing this news, both reported classes immediately exploded.

"Don't joke around! 5 million personal points? You might as well just rob us!" shouted Yahiko pointing at Ryuen.

Ryuen showed a mocking expression and shrugged casually. "You can choose not to pay, at most he'll be expelled. But I remind you, if you choose expulsion, your class points will be reduced by 300 points."

"You!..." Yahiko fell silent.

The situation in Class D was no less complicated. They had just successfully passed the midterm exam to get points. The points weren't even in hand yet, where would they get 5 million points to save Yamauchi? Even if they had them, they didn't want to give them. Someone like Yamauchi deserved it!

Especially the female faction, whether it was Kei, Hasebe, or Maya; they preferred Yamauchi to be expelled rather than having to waste points to save him.

Yamauchi became the common enemy. The great pressure of public opinion crushed him, making him feel desperate. He didn't want to be expelled yet! In this school there were many pretty girls, he didn't want to leave!

Yamauchi tried to defend himself with all his might, saying that he was deceived, he never harassed that female student, and he was framed! Unfortunately, it was useless. With his bad reputation, even if he really didn't do it... no one would believe him. Because he really looked like the type of person who would do such a thing. His words had no credibility, moreover the opposing party had fingerprint evidence on the jacket.

Seeing his friends had no intention of helping him, Yamauchi was truly desperate.

Ryunosuke just silently observed everything without intention to stop it. He actually had a chance to save Yamauchi because he had camera footage that captured everything.

But... why should he save Yamauchi? There was no benefit for him.

Just at that moment, Sae seemed to have made a certain decision. She extinguished her cigarette butt and stepped forward firmly.

Ryunosuke's heart immediately sank. He had a bad feeling...

Sae stood in front of Ryuen, took out her phone, and said with a tense face.

"I'm willing to pay 5 million personal points to save Yamauchi!"

Seeing the opposing homeroom teacher willing to pay personal points to save her student, Ryuen immediately laughed. It was a laugh full of victory.

Meanwhile, Ryunosuke was already cursing internally: (Why are you interfering, Chabashira-sensei!)
