Chapter 84 - Bribing Shiina Hiyori

Ryunosuke walked with his hands in his pockets toward the old Class C's campsite.

Hiyori stood with her hands folded in front of her body; she greeted with a smile on her face.

"Isn't this the demon king from Class C, Akasaka Ryunosuke-kun? What business do you have coming to my place?"

"By the way, didn't Ibuki-san stop you all?" Hiyori tilted her head sweetly.

Ryunosuke pointed behind with his thumb. "The Ibuki you mean is fighting with our leader."

Hiyori shifted her gaze and saw one of her class's combat aces, Ibuki Mio, fiercely fighting with Horikita Suzune.

Ibuki kicked toward a tree trunk, but Suzune managed to dodge and assumed a martial arts stance, ready to respond to attacks at any time. Ibuki pulled back her leg and prepared to kick the opponent's head.

"My defeat back then was because I was careless! Let's fight again!!!"

Ibuki's face looked enthusiastic; clearly she wanted to avenge her previous defeat. After all, at that time Suzune had beaten her pretty badly until her head was injured; this time she had to win no matter what!

Suzune was also ready to counterattack, but at that moment Hiyori's voice was heard from afar.

"Stop! Ibuki-san, now is not the time to fight."

Ibuki's leg was suspended in the air, her eyes staring sharply at her opponent. Suzune also remained in a defensive position with sharp eyes. The two stared fiercely at each other before finally lowering their stances in annoyance.

"Tch!" Ibuki kicked a small stone at the roadside irritably. "Don't think this is over. Someday we'll fight again, I won't lose again."

Suzune straightened the wrinkles in her clothes indifferently. She didn't care at all and immediately walked beside Ryunosuke, exactly like a bodyguard.

Well, she was indeed his bodyguard... Ryunosuke was afraid he couldn't win against them, so he brought two people to keep the situation under control.

After recovering, Albert stood with a serious gaze. However, when he saw that the monster who could lift him with one hand didn't come, he immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

"Good thing he didn't come, there's still a chance to win."

The monster Albert meant was Ayanokouji. Considering his height was only 175 cm but could lift his giant 2-meter body with one hand, that was truly terrifying. As long as that person wasn't there, Albert was confident he wouldn't lose to anyone just by relying on his 2-meter height and muscles all over his body.

Without thinking long and without waiting for Hiyori's order, Albert immediately charged forward, intending to incapacitate the opponent first.

Hiyori wanted to stop him, but it was too late. Albert was already in front of Ryunosuke with his giant fist ready to smash the young man's face.

"You've made our former boss suffer! Akasaka Ryunosuke!!!"

"I'll avenge Ryuen, let me hit you just once!!!"

Ryunosuke remained calm with his hands in his pockets, not panicking at all because Megumi had taken action...

With a calm gaze, Megumi took out a stun gun, circled behind Albert, and shocked his neck. At that instant Albert fell face-down and fainted.

The stun gun in Megumi's hand was still sparking electric current. Clearly to incapacitate this giant, Megumi used maximum power because she was afraid a body as sturdy as an elephant wouldn't fall.

After finishing everything, Megumi slowly disappeared from people's view like a ghost, as if she had never been there. Everyone was startled.

"My God! A transparent human! There's a superpower user here!!!!"

Even Hiyori, who was usually calm, gaped wide in shock and couldn't react for several moments. Had anyone ever seen someone disappear just like that in front of many people's eyes?

This was too frightening; it felt like meeting a ghost. No! Scarier than a ghost because this person had a physical form!

Hiyori looked at the fallen Albert and swallowed.

"T-that... is still human, right?"

Hiyori felt doubtful. However, in Ryunosuke's eyes, Megumi just walked normally there, incapacitated the opponent, then returned with a flat expression.

It's just that in outsiders' eyes, Megumi suddenly appeared when attacking, as if she were a transparent person whose movements were not noticed at all before.

Ryunosuke clicked his tongue inwardly. He was also very envious of this ability. If he had this ability, he wouldn't need to fear the debt collectors out there anymore. They wouldn't be able to see him.

However, on the surface, he remained calm and said, "Now we can sit and talk calmly, right? Shiina-san."

The corner of Hiyori's mouth twitched slightly; she looked at him with an annoyed gaze.

"As soon as you arrive you incapacitate my member, and you still dare to talk like that."

Ryunosuke spread his hands. "I have no other choice. He attacked first, so naturally my bodyguard protected me."

Ryunosuke glanced at Megumi.

At this time, Megumi was already standing behind him and nodded with a flat gaze.

People around still didn't notice Megumi's presence, didn't even remember her existence.

Even though at that time it was Megumi who defeated the most people—reaching dozens—but they truly didn't remember that such a person was there.

Hiyori felt somewhat awkward because it was indeed her own member who attacked, so she immediately invited them in.

"Let's talk inside. I don't have luxury goods here, so don't complain."

Ryunosuke stated he didn't mind; he didn't come to look for food.

Shortly after, the two sat together. Hiyori asked curiously, "What business do you have looking for me? We're in inter-class competition now, you and I are enemies, you know."

Hiyori spoke while smiling sweetly. But Ryunosuke didn't care at all and chatted with her like a close friend.

"I came here wanting to borrow someone from you."

Hiyori immediately felt curious. "Who?"

Ryunosuke's gaze was directed straight at Rizu behind Hiyori.

Rizu felt slightly chilled being stared at, then hid behind their Boss's back while peeking a little to look at Ryunosuke warily.

Ryunosuke chose to get straight to the point. "I want this girl to help me draw a map. A map of this entire island."

"This girl must have already memorized the entire island, right?" Ryunosuke said it so casually, as if he was very sure.

Hiyori furrowed her brows and pretended to be clueless.

"I don't understand what you're talking about. Besides, why do you assume this child has that ability? Why are you so sure she can draw it?"

"Even if she has that ability, we wouldn't necessarily know the exam contents on this remote island, so it's impossible we made preparations beforehand."

"So what you're saying is unfounded. We didn't draw a map."

Seeing Hiyori still unwilling to admit it, Ryunosuke used his knowledge of these characters from his previous life plus his observations on site, then he spoke directly.

"This girl, since entering this school, her science grades have always been perfect."

"Even second and third-year senpai lose to her. So, she has the ability to draw a map."

"Besides, with your intelligence, Shiina-san, how could you not realize there's a special exam on this island?"

"Even if you didn't know the exam contents, you must have already taken preventive steps beforehand, right?"

Hiyori sighed softly, "Are you a tapeworm in my stomach? To understand me that well."

Ryunosuke joked, "I am indeed a tapeworm in your stomach, otherwise how could I write books you like?"

Hiyori's cheeks blushed red. "Don't say that in a place like this, there are other people here."

Ryunosuke immediately shut his mouth; their relationship as fellow book lovers was indeed not known by others.

Between the two of them pink bubbles began to appear; the atmosphere became increasingly strange. People around saw this ambiguous atmosphere and felt something was off.

"Our boss seems closely acquainted with the person in front of her."

"Since when?"

Hiyori immediately cleared her throat and sat up straight.

"What business do you have? Just say it directly."

Ryunosuke didn't beat around the bush anymore. "I want a map. A panoramic map of this entire island."

"No way!" Hiyori refused instantly.

However, Ryunosuke took out a book, slipped it into Hiyori's hand secretly, then bribed her with a small voice.

"This is the manuscript content for volume two of Your Lie in April. About... can't you give some leniency?"

Hiyori: "😐"
