Chapter 3 - Class

I awake finding I have changed back to my OG self. So that is the requirement. Once I get kissed, I transform the next day, and after that day I transform back. So, if I want to make use of this I will have to plan ahead. This makes things more complicated.

"Anti hero fan club, come join the anti hero fan club." A man yells.

Oh, that took way less time than I thought for my spies to infiltrate.

I stand walking over to the blue haired man.

"Persiden, what's up." I dab him up.

"Yeah Atlas, this is the least I could do to repay you for when we were kids."

"That math test was insanely hard, but it means a lot. If I didn't have your help I would be at this alone." I pull out a cigarette handing it to him.

Using fire magic he lights it. "Did you get any leads on the hero?" He scans the horizon.

"None yet, this school is too big, but I did find a suspicious girl, she tried to lead me to the bathrooms. I bet she wanted to get me alone to kill me."

"That serious already, they must be on to us. Maybe we should execute plan, quit school and return to our domain." He takes a drag on the cigarette.

"Not yet, that is our last resort. Now we will interrogate." I say menacingly.

"Who?" He asks with confusion on his face.

I place my hand to my chin. "I don't know."

We part ways as I return to my room. Athena has yet to awake, her sleeping face reminds me of a doll. I close in squatting next to her face. I want to kiss her. I lightly slap myself. This is a maiden, that is wrong. What am I thinking she isn't a maiden, she is a flat chested meanie.

Sitting down on my bed, I watch her. A few minutes after sunrise, Athena sits up wiping her eyes.

"You were gone all day. Missed six classes, and never returned to the dorm. That means I get to beat you." I look in terror, as she breaks every limb I have, heals them, just to break them again.

Morning class was magic studies. A simple class revolving around the history and use of magic. It wasn't anything new for an anime lover like myself.

"Yes, the study of magic is not so ancient. Before the six main schools were created, there was a round seat of six great magics, that did six great feats. Before them magic was obscure, and seen as witchcraft. During these times mages were prosecuted and eliminated. We, the biggest magic school in the world, have proven its worth at least five times. The great dying, the slaughter of the east, the white plague, and the burning man incident." The professor drones on, but a hand stops him. It was Athena's.

"That was only four, what was fifth?" She asks.

"Oh did I miss one, I apologize." He begins to draw an image on the chalk board. It was the continent. "The fifth incident was the sudden appearance of a second continent." He draws a completely separate continent to its right. "Sadly, this place is no longer visitable, so I can't answer questions."

The class was boring, and the next class soon came. Magic practice and application.

This class is useless to me, as I possess no mana, not one drop. That fact didn't change from my past life.

"How to sense mana." The woman professor speaks. "It is quite simple, just focus really hard on the world around you."

"Wow." Someone blurts out.

Wait, I did sense something when I looked like Athena. Is it possible, no, that is a dumb idea.

"How much you can sense is determined by the element that loves you. Everyone is loved by at least one element, so please come up here and place your hands on the magic item." She pulls out a crystal ball.

Most people that came up were just blue or red, those must be the most common, but some got more than one, and others even got green or purple.

"Athena please come up."

Athena walks up with sturdy steps, resting her hands on the stone, for a second the building shook, as the ball showed all colors in the rainbow.

Just what I would expect out of Athena, what a showoff. The whole room falls silent.

"You are the first person in a hundred years to get a rainbow." The professor holds both her hands. "I expect great things from you." She lets go looking back into the crowd. "Atlas please come up."

"I feel bad for this guy." Someone says.

"I know right, how would you feel going up there after that." Someone else says.

"Shhh." They are both silenced.

Placing my hands on the ball, it doesn't react with light, instead it shatters into a million pieces.

"Are you okay." The professor checks my hand. "Athena must have overworked it. We don't have a spare on hand, so you should just sit back down."

Fine for me. If they found out I had no mana I would become an outcast. I retake my seat, and the class ends without any other problems.
