AZRAEL.
The new boy in my class fainted, and I rushed him straight to the school clinic. The nurses had not said anything yet, and the silence made my chest feel tight with worry.
I stood by the window of his room, watching him closely, hoping whatever had happened was not serious. If it was, I knew I would never forgive myself.
The door opened, and one of the nurses stepped out, dressed in a sky blue scrub.
Before she could speak, the words rushed out of me. "Is he okay?"
"Yes," she said calmly. "He did not eat well and has been under too much stress lately. He will be fine." She paused before adding, "He refused a full body examination."
"Why?" The skin between my brows tightened as confusion hit me.
"He chose not to, and we respected his decision. But he is stable."
I nodded, feeling some relief, even though it felt strange for Rox to refuse something like that. "Can I see him now?"
"Of course," she said, leading me back into the room.
