ROXANNA.
The room I entered was nothing like mine. Still, I was not surprised because it belonged to a Prince, and from what Zane had told me earlier, they lived very differently from the rest of us.
My eyes moved to the large bed at the center of the room, neatly dressed with black bedsheets. The room itself was dim, almost heavy, and I could not understand why everything had to be black. The table was black, the wardrobe was black, and even the curtains looked dark enough to swallow light.
At the far end of the room, close to the window, stood a small laboratory. Potions and strange chemicals were arranged there, meant for spells and other witch things I did not fully understand.
The sight made my skin crawl.
Fear settled deep in my chest when I noticed a skull fixed to the wall, its empty eyes staring at me as if it were alive and watching my every move.
"Come in," Ash's deep voice pulled me out of my thoughts. I obeyed at once, stepping farther into the room.
