Chapter 31 - Ep 31

Location: Sacred Temple, Main Hall

There were quite a few people around; some had finished early. Conversations filled the area, mixed with the clanging sounds of armor most likely people striking their equipment together just to show off. The hall was lively, though not overwhelmingly noisy.

Suddenly, the sound of the elevator arriving echoed through the hall. The doors slowly opened, and the two of them stepped out. Leaving the elevator behind, they began walking side by side.

Jack: How strong is this dwarf?

Arthur grinned.

Arthur: If we ranked people by talking ability, he'd be zero. In terms of strength… probably number one.

Jack: Can I ask what he looks like?

Arthur burst into laughter as if he had just heard the greatest joke ever.

Arthur: Hahaha! Imagine drawing a character and intentionally throwing together every possible clothing style without mixing anything properly and somehow it still stays that way. That's him!

Jack blinked in confusion. A bizarre image formed in his mind someone dressed in completely mismatched clothing.

Jack (Thoughts): Impossible… Who would actually walk around dressed like that?

They continued forward. Soon, Jack realized where they were heading.

The path led toward the stairs descending into the Absolute Prison.

Jack: I didn't miss this place even a little…

Arthur: Same.

They reached the stairs and slowly began descending. Each step echoed faintly, growing louder in the silent corridor. Candlelight illuminated parts of the passage, while the unlit sections were swallowed by darkness. The atmosphere felt heavy as if something might suddenly leap out from the shadows.

Eventually, they reached the bottom and continued walking.

After some time, complete silence dominated the surroundings. Even the candle flames seemed soundless. There was no wind…

Then-

A massive metallic crash echoed.

It sounded like a gigantic hammer striking the ground.

Arthur and Jack immediately ran toward the noise. Spotting a door on their left, they didn't bother knocking they smashed it open. The breaking sound echoed loudly through the corridor.

What awaited them inside was… strange.

Jack: This is seriously the person we came to see?

Arthur stared ahead without expression.

Arthur: Unfortunately… yes.

A gigantic hammer nearly three meters tall was embedded into the ground, cracks spreading beneath it. At the very top, where the handle ended, a dwarf was stuck awkwardly, hanging from the handle pressing into his stomach.

The dwarf noticed them.

???: Orada ### kırığı gibi durmayında yardım edin

Jack looked blankly at Arthur, pointing at the dwarf.

Arthur: He says stop standing there and help him.

Arthur understood the dwarf's language well enough.

Jack walked toward the hammer, grabbed it with both hands, lifted it, and rotated it one hundred eighty degrees to the left before setting it down.

The moment the hammer turned, the dwarf fell onto his backside and gave a casual salute.

???: Sonunda, ###### ######, teşekkür ederim

Jack didn't understand the words and assumed it was a compliment. Arthur, however, remained expressionless he knew exactly what had been said.

Arthur: Speak our language, Bob.

The dwarf immediately turned toward Arthur.

- - - : Görüyorumda alevli ### gelmiş.

Arthur: Introduce yourself to my student before I kill you.

The dwarf shifted his gaze toward Jack, examining him carefully while smoke drifted from the pipe in his mouth. He blew the smoke directly into Jack's face.

Jack: Hey!

Bob: Sorry, kid. Name's Bob Sonofbob. Nice to meet you.

Bob Sonofbob the Guardians' one and only master blacksmith. Finding another smith like him in this world was nearly impossible.

His appearance was bizarre.

He wore a purple-and-blue Hawaiian shirt covered with light blue spots. His black shorts looked partially wrapped in flames near the legs. On his head rested a dark red samurai helmet. One hand wore a yellow oven glove with a light blue stripe. One foot had a red sports shoe, while the other wore a pink slipper exposing his toes and his feet were so large they almost looked monstrous.

He wore black sunglasses, had a dark orange beard and mustache, and constantly smoked a pipe. His height was 1.23 meters, and his age was unknown.

Bob: Veledin ismi ne? Arthur!

Arthur: Why are you asking me? He can answer himself!

Bob: Whatever.

Bob took another drag from his pipe, letting smoke linger before exhaling.

Bob: Kid. Name?

Jack: Jack. Jack Horizon

.

Bob: Good. Now that introductions are done… get lost.

Jack & Arthur: What?

Bob: You heard me. ######## gidin!

Bob kicked both of them outside without hesitation.

Jack was ready to leave, but Arthur's patience had completely run out.

Arthur: Now I'll show you!

Meanwhile, Bob grabbed a barrel filled with alcohol and began drinking straight from it instead of using a cup.

As Arthur stormed back in with visible anger, Bob sensed the furious aura and glanced over his shoulder.

Bob: I'm drinking here, you know? And also…

Switching languages again, he added:

Bob: Kıçıma benziyorsun şuanda.

Those ended up being Bob's last words.
