AUTHOR'S POV
After some time, Pete went to the guest room to take a rest. Someone knocked on the door. Pete asked who it was.... It was Vegas and Pete asked him if he needed anything. Vegas only said "Alex." Pete, confused, repeated the name. Vegas then asked if Pete and Alex were really dating, to which Pete confirmed they were. Vegas started to say something about "us," but Pete interrupted him before he could continue.
Pete told Vegas that everything between them is over... It's in the past, that he had moved on, and that Vegas should too.
Vegas insisted he couldn't, stating Pete was the only one he loved. Pete reminded Vegas of what had happened between them, that they had broken up, and that he was in a relationship now. Vegas pleaded with Pete to forgive him for everything, promising not to do it again and begging for another chance. Pete replied that he had long forgiven him, but sorry, he couldn't give him another chance.
After Pete closed the door, Vegas remained standing outside. Tears began flowing down his cheeks.
Later, Alex returned home from work and entered the house. Vegas stared at him. Alex looked back, smiled at Vegas, and continued inside.
During dinner, Chay asked Pete if he could share his story, specifically inquiring who chased whom between him and Alex. Alex immediately stated that he pursued Pete.
Vegas then asked how he did it. Alex explained that the first time he saw Pete wasn't abroad ; he had seen him before that.
When Kin asked when, Alex revealed it was during high school. Macao questioned "high school?". Pete added that during high school, his father used to make him participate in boxing competitions, which is where they met for the first time.
He didn't recognize Alex when they met abroad later, but Alex recognized him. Alex told Pete about their past after they started dating.
Kim asked Alex if he had had a crush on Pete since that first meeting. Alex confirmed that he did, saying it was love at first sight.
Alex said that his parents were strict; they wanted him to be the best in everything. If he couldn't be the best, he would get beaten up. During one particular competition, he lost in the final and was beaten up. On his way back to the locker room, he heard some noise coming from a room and went to investigate.
Inside, Alex saw a guy beating up a kid. From the man's words, Alex realized he was the kid's dad. The man left after the beating. Alex had medicine with him, so he went inside to give it to the injured boy. The boy looked at Alex, and Alex recognized him; he was the one who had won the finals against Alex. The boy asked Alex why he looked injured. Alex told him he was beaten up because he lost the match. Alex asked the boy the same question. The boy told Alex that he got beaten up because he won the match.
They both laughed and talked, helping each other apply medicine and introducing themselves. The boy told Alex his name was Pete and offered a smile. That was the moment Alex felt some feelings inside him that he couldn't explain, and they went their separate ways. After that competition, Alex went abroad with his parents, and they never met again until five years ago.
Porsche then asked Alex if he recognized Pete easily.
Alex shared that he didn't recognise him the first time , After that he met Pete again and he smiled at him and that feeling he had in the past returned, So Alex did a background check and realized it truly was his first love.
While Alex looked at Pete, who was smiling back, Vegas became visibly annoyed seeing the interaction.
