Chapter 21 - CHAPTER - 21

MACAO'S POV

I love him. When Vegas asked what happened, it just came out. It might seem sudden to him, but I've had a crush since the first time I saw him. The more I got to know him, the more that crush turned into real love.

When I heard he and P'Pete were breaking up, I was actually happy because I thought I'd finally have a chance. But then I saw him crying, and it hit me—I'm not the one in his heart. After he left, the silence was too much. I missed him so much that I went to see him.

We started hanging out, grabbing food, and just spending time together. It was nice, but I eventually crossed the line. I wanted more than just being friends. One night, I went to meet him at a bar, and that's when things really changed.

FLASHBACK...

AUTHOR'S POV

Macao finding Alex stumbling and intoxicated. Despite Alex's slurred protests that he isn't drunk, his pale face and sudden urge to puke tell a different story. Macao steps in to help, steadying him as they make their way to the bathroom. After Alex finishes, Macao carefully guides him back to the bedroom to rest.

As Macao begins to unbutton Alex's shirt to help him get comfortable for sleep, the atmosphere shifts. The two lock eyes in a heavy, silent moment before Alex suddenly leans in and kisses Macao gently. Almost immediately, Alex pulls back, reality hitting him as he looks away in confusion.

Macao doesn't let him retreat. He turns Alex back toward him and kisses him passionately, fully crossing the line they had danced around for so long. That night, their relationship changed forever as they ended up spending the entire night together.

The next morning, Alex woke up with a pounding headache, instantly regretting how much he had drunk. As his vision cleared, he realized he wasn't alone. He saw Macao lying in bed beside him, and the sight of marks on both their bodies triggered a rush of memories from the night before. Panicked and filled with guilt, Alex began to curse himself for what had happened.

When Macao stirred and spoke his name, Alex immediately began to apologize. He tried to explain that he was drunk and hadn't been thinking clearly. Before Macao could truly respond, Alex blurted out that he saw Macao as a brother, expressing deep remorse for crossing that line.

The word "brother" seemed to hit Macao hard. He repeated it quietly, the realization of how Alex viewed him sinking in. Without saying much else, a hurt Macao gathered his clothes and left the room...

FLASHBACK ENDS.....

MACAO'S POV

After everything that happened, I couldn't bring myself to face Alex again. The "brother" comment hurt too much, and I didn't dare see him. When P'Vegas asked if I was okay, I finally told him the truth: I didn't want Alex to see me as just a sibling. That's exactly why I decided to confess my feelings to him.

P'Vegas asked what I'd do if Alex rejected me, but I'm not ready to give up. I told him I'll try my hardest to win Alex over. Hearing P'Vegas offer his help was nice, but I couldn't help but tease him, telling him he should probably focus on helping himself first.

Of course, that turned into our usual bickering. He called me a brat and "unfaithful," but I just reminded him that I'm his brother—I learned all my tricks from him anyway. It felt good to laugh a little, even if my heart still feels heavy about Alex.
