Chapter 71 - Sona Sitri¹⁸

Peace was finally made between the Three Factions after everything settled down.

The leaders signed a formal treaty, shook hands some more reluctantly than others, and declared a united front against their common enemy the Chaos Brigade.

It was a historic moment, one that would be remembered in the Underworld, Heaven, and the Grigori for years to come.

But to Silas, none of that mattered.

Politics, alliances, treaties… it was all just noise. He had grown incredibly bored over the past few weeks. Training with the others felt pointless when he could end any fight with a flick of his wrist. The daily life of school, dates, and casual sex with the girls was fun for a while, but even that had started to feel routine.

So he decided it was time to make his move on Sona.

The two of them had been dancing around it long enough. Why not?

Silas stepped out of the manor that evening, hands in his pockets, the cool night air brushing against his skin. He didn't bother telling anyone where he was going. He simply started walking toward the Sitri residence.

He had only walked Sona home once before, but he remembered the way clearly. The streets were quiet, streetlights casting long shadows as he moved through the residential area.

'A lot of time has passed since then,' he thought, shaking his head slightly. 'Crazy how fast it goes.'

So far in this world, nothing of real importance had happened to him. No one had forced him to use even a fraction of his power. Not surprising, really. That was the price he paid for being this overwhelmingly strong.

But he hoped, at least, that something like Great Red or Ophis would eventually challenge him. Even a little bit.

'Unless I lock my abilities away… but that's boring,' he thought with a small smirk.

He arrived at the Sitri residence a short while later. It was a large, elegant Western-style mansion, grand but not as ostentatious as the Gremory manor. The lights were still on in several windows.

Silas stood at the front gate for a moment, looking up at the building.

' Damn they also upgraded. Guess she didn't want to get bested by Rias. Let's see how this goes,' he thought, pushing the gate open and walking toward the front door. He raised his hand and knocked firmly.

A few seconds later, the large front door opened.

An older male attendant in a crisp black uniform stood there, his expression immediately souring the moment he saw Silas. He looked him up and down with clear disdain, as if a stray dog had wandered onto the property.

"How may I help you?" he asked, tone dripping with condescension.

"I'm looking for Sona," Silas replied casually.

The attendant's face tightened, his posture going rigid.

"You mean Miss Sitri," he corrected sharply. "Please refrain from using her name so casually, human."

Silas didn't even flinch at the aggression. He simply waved a hand.

"Yeah, yeah. Just show me where she is."

"I'm afraid I cannot do that," the attendant said coldly, already beginning to close the door. "You must make an appointment to meet her. So return from where you came from… peasant."

The last word was muttered under his breath, but of course Silas heard it.

"Now you don't have to be rude, you know," he said, stopping the door with one hand before it could shut. The attendant pushed harder, but the door didn't budge an inch.

Silas pushed it open effortlessly and walked inside.

The moment he stepped into the grand foyer, a dozen guards appeared from side rooms and hallways, surrounding him in seconds. They drew weapons, some with demonic energy crackling along blades and pointed them at him.

"State your business!" one barked.

Silas sighed. 'Man, I hate fodder,' he thought. He took one casual step forward. In the blink of an eye, he was gone.

The guards charged at empty air, only to see him reappear halfway up the grand staircase, leaning casually against the balcony railing like he'd been there the whole time.

"How'd he get there—?!"

The commotion grew louder. More guards poured in from other parts of the manor.

Hearing the noise, Sona and Tsubaki rushed out from a side hallway. The moment they saw Silas, both girls' expressions lit up. They hurried over and embraced him from both sides without hesitation.

"Silas!" Sona said, pressing herself against his arm.

Tsubaki smiled warmly, wrapping her arm around his other side.

The guards froze instantly.

"Oh… you know him, Miss?" one asked hesitantly.

Sona shot the head attendant a sharp, icy glare. The man paled and immediately bowed. The guards lowered their weapons and vanished back to their posts without another word.

Sona looked up at Silas, concern in her eyes. "They didn't hurt you, did they?"

Silas laughed softly. "Of course not."

Tsubaki adjusted her glasses, still holding onto his arm. "Good. We were just about to have dinner."

"Don't mind if I do," Silas replied with a grin.

The three of them walked together toward the dining room, Sona and Tsubaki still clinging to his arms like they had no intention of letting go.

Behind them, the attendant from before stood frozen in place, his face pale as a sheet. The realization had hit him like a truck, if he had taken even one more drastic step to stop Silas, he would have been fired on the spot… or worse, quietly disposed of. He swallowed hard, sweat beading on his forehead, and quietly slinked back to his post without saying another word.

In the dining room, the atmosphere was warm and lively.

Sona's peerage was already seated around the long table, plates filled with an impressive spread of high-class dishes, perfectly seared steaks, fresh seafood, rich sauces, and elegant side dishes that smelled incredible. The room itself was grand but comfortable, with soft lighting and a long chandelier overhead.

When Silas walked in with Sona on one arm and Tsubaki on the other, the group looked up with varying expressions.

Saji grinned widely. "Yo! Didn't expect you to show up tonight!"

Tsubaki smiled softly as she guided Silas to a seat between her and Sona. The rest of the peerage greeted him casually they had grown quite familiar with him over time, especially after all the joint training sessions and shared incidents.

Silas sat down comfortably, rolling his shoulders.

"Smells good," he said, already reaching for a piece of steak.

The dinner was genuinely enjoyable. The food was excellent tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Conversation flowed easily around the table.

Silas fit right in, trading casual banter with everyone while enjoying the meal. Sona kept stealing glances at him, a faint blush on her cheeks whenever their eyes met. Tsubaki was more open, resting her hand lightly on his arm from time to time.

For a while, it felt like a normal, relaxed dinner with friends. There were no politics or sudden attacks. Unlike with Rias and her peerage that alwasy had drama. Just good food and good company.

Silas leaned back in his chair after finishing his plate, a satisfied look on his face. "Not bad," he said. "I could get used to this."

Sona smiled, looking genuinely happy. "You're always welcome here."

Tsubaki nodded in agreement, her fingers brushing against his under the table.

The night felt easy and warm, a quiet contrast to the usual chaos that surrounded Silas. Conversations gradually died down as everyone finished eating and began heading to their respective rooms.

Silas, however, didn't head to his own.

He followed Sona down the hallway toward her bedroom. Neither of them said anything, but the tension between them had been building all evening stolen glances, lingering touches under the table, the way her fingers had brushed his during dinner.

The moment they stepped inside her room and the door clicked shut behind them, the dam broke.

Sona turned to him, and Silas was already moving. He cupped her face with both hands and kissed her deeply, pushing her back against the door.

Sona melted into it instantly, her arms wrapping around his neck as she kissed him back with surprising hunger. Her usual strict composure was gone replaced by soft, needy sounds against his lips.

Their kiss was heated and impatient. Tongues tangled, breaths mixed, and hands began to wander. Silas slid one hand down her back, gripping her ass firmly and pulling her body flush against his.

Sona moaned quietly into his mouth, her fingers threading through his hair as she pressed herself closer, feeling the growing hardness against her stomach.

They broke the kiss for air, foreheads resting together, both breathing heavily.

"Silas…" she whispered, voice shaky with desire.

He didn't reply with words. Instead, he kissed her again, slower this time but no less intense, backing her toward the bed. Sona's hands moved down his chest, tugging at his shirt as they moved.

The room was filled with the sound of their heavy breathing and the rustle of clothes as they slowly undressed each other between kisses.
