Chapter 15 - Chapter 15 : The Birth of Super Saiyans, All Caused by Frieza

As a tomboy among the Saiyans of Universe 6, Kale actually shared a singular trait with Son Goku: an insatiable hunger for strength. Her enthusiasm for breaking her limits was boundless. Consequently, when she witnessed the Universe 7 Saiyans utilizing the Great Ape transformation to increase their power tenfold, she felt a sharp pang of envy. A tenfold multiplier! If she could harness such a form, her potential would be limitless.

Now, seeing yet another transformation emerge—one that the Saiyans of Universe 6 lacked—her frustration boiled over. "Damn it," she muttered, "we're all Saiyans, so why do they get all the special treatment?!" She was desperate to know if the Super Saiyan transformation was a bloodline trait exclusive to Universe 7 or if it was attainable for her kind as well.

The Great Ape form was already out of reach, as the Saiyans of Universe 6 were evolved to be born without tails. She could only wonder if this legendary Super Saiyan state carried similar biological restrictions.

Kale's voiced frustrations inadvertently opened a doorway to a much larger reality for many watching across the dimensions. On Earth, in Universe 7, the Z Fighters were reeling from the revelation.

"Universe 6? What does that even mean?" Krillin wondered aloud. "And the video mentioned Super Saiyan is a legend of the Saiyans of Universe 7 specifically. Does that mean our entire reality is just the seventh universe among many?"

The realization hit them all at once: their world was far more vast than they had ever conceived. They had already been pushed to their limits by galactic threats like Frieza and the overwhelming presence of Lord Beerus, but the existence of parallel universes meant the ceiling for power was higher than they dared to imagine.

Aboard his spaceship, Vegeta stared at the screen, his mind racing. "I never expected other universes to exist, let alone ones populated by Saiyans," he mused. He found himself burning with curiosity about his counterparts.

Were there Saiyan Princes in Universe 6? How many of them remained? More importantly, were they stronger than the warriors of Universe 7? Despite his burning questions, his pride held him back. He was the Prince of all Saiyans; he would not lower himself to beg for information from a screen.

Frieza, however, felt a cold knot of unease. The news of more Saiyans existing in another universe made his blood run cold. He didn't know if these Universe 6 Saiyans could transform or how many there were. The last thing he wanted was to stumble upon a planet teeming with Super Saiyans.

He quickly rationalized it, convincing himself that as the Emperor of Universe 7, the affairs of another dimension were irrelevant. Yet, a part of him felt a flicker of greed; if he could reach Universe 6, he could have expanded his empire across two entire realities.

The narrator's voice cut through the silence of the multiverse once more. "When speaking of the Super Saiyan, one name is inseparable from the legend: the Galactic Emperor of Universe 7, Frieza! His history with the Saiyan race is a complex web of destiny. It can be said that the birth of the first Super Saiyan in over a millennium was caused entirely by Frieza himself."

Frieza's expression shifted from arrogance to sheer bewilderment. "What is this nonsense?" he hissed. He was the one who feared the legend most; the idea that he was the catalyst for its return was an insult. Love-hate relationship? He had wiped them out! It was a slaughter, not a romance. The suggestion that these "monkeys" were his equals in any narrative sense felt like a cosmic joke at his expense.

In another world, the Hero Association watched with bated breath.

{"Tatsumaki": "Galactic Emperor? This Dragon Ball world has a ruler of the stars too?"} {"Tatsumaki": "I wonder how this Frieza compares to Boros. Boros called himself a ruler of the universe as well."} {"Genos": "Master Saitama fought Boros and defeated him.

He would be the best judge of their relative power."} {"Saitama": "Boros was definitely strong. His final attack was capable of scouring the Earth's surface."} {"Saitama": "But compared to this Frieza... there's a massive gap."}

Saitama recalled how Frieza treated Vegeta—a man who possessed enough Ki to turn a planet into cosmic dust—as nothing more than a subordinate. While Boros could ruin a planet's surface, these warriors could delete the planet itself from existence. Even among those called "Emperors," the hierarchy of power was staggering.

{"Frieza": "Destroying a mere surface qualifies someone as an Emperor? How pathetic."} {"Frieza": "That Boros is lucky he never crossed my path. I would have extinguished him with a flick of my finger for devaluing my title."}

Frieza's disdain was palpable. To him, Earth was a speck of dust he could vanish with a casual Ki blast. He viewed the worlds of these other "heroes" as weak and ripe for development. If he could bridge the gap between dimensions, he would gladly become a multi-universal real estate mogul. For now, however, he was forced to watch how his own actions led to his greatest nightmare.

The video continued, shifting the scene to the aftermath of the battle on Earth. "Following the brutal conflict with Vegeta, the Z Fighters were left in despair. Piccolo had fallen, and with his death, Kami passed away as well. This caused the Earth's Dragon Balls to turn to stone, rendering the resurrection of their friends impossible."

"It was then that Krillin remembered Vegeta's words: Piccolo was a Namekian. If Kami and Piccolo were one, then Kami was an alien too. Krillin surmised that if they could find the Namekian home world, Planet Namek, they might find another set of Dragon Balls."

Akira, watching the events unfold, recognized the tactical brilliance of this move. Using the enemy's own intel to find a way to reverse the damage was the mark of a true survivor.

"With Goku hospitalized and the supply of Senzu beans exhausted, the mission fell to Bulma, Gohan, and Krillin. They used a modified Namekian vessel to journey into the depths of space. This voyage to Planet Namek would be the catalyst that shattered the Saiyan genetic locks and began the legendary convergence of Frieza, Goku, and the fate of the Super Saiyan."
