Chapter 27 - Eat More, Live Longer

"Alright then."

Quinn Ye immediately brought a basin to Master Cosmo.

The basin was piled high with white rice.

When this basin of rice was placed in front of Master Cosmo...

The expression on Cosmo's face was wonderfully complex.

In his entire life, he had probably never eaten this much rice in a single meal.

But for the sake of breaking through, Master Cosmo gritted his teeth and went for it.

He lifted the basin and started shoveling.

At this moment, the old man became a true devotee of food.

A unique existence.

Even Quinn, who always prided himself on being a foodie, had to admit defeat.

"Old sir, take it easy."

Seeing Cosmo eat as if his life depended on it, Quinn couldn't help but advise.

"It's fine. I can handle it," Cosmo mumbled with his mouth full.

Beside him, Sia Xiao was busy stuffing her own face, ignoring her Master completely.

Quinn finished eating quickly.

He sat there, watching the master and disciple eating like madmen.

Watching them, Quinn felt a bit nauseous.

The three dishes on the table were almost gone.

Sia directly picked up the plate of Tomato and Egg Stir-fry, poured her rice into the sauce, stirred it vigorously, and continued to gorge herself.

Master Cosmo refused to be outdone.

He flipped the plate of Braised Pork Belly directly into his basin.

He cleaned up every bit of meat and sauce from the plate.

Quinn was dumbfounded.

This is too exaggerated, right?

Even a starving ghost reincarnated wouldn't be this hungry.

How many years has it been since they ate a proper meal?

Before long.

Sia couldn't take it anymore.

She slammed her bowl down and sat there burping.

Burp!

Quinn quickly poured her a glass of water, afraid she might vomit.

Master Cosmo glanced at his disciple.

Hmph!

Ginger gets spicier as it gets older.

You little girl need to cultivate for a few more years.

Master Cosmo continued his struggle. But at the same time, he was confused.

I've eaten so much. Why haven't I broken through yet?

Seeing the basin of rice bottoming out.

Cosmo's stomach felt like it was about to explode.

Just as Master Cosmo swallowed the last mouthful of rice with great difficulty...

An unprecedented aura surged from within his body.

In an instant.

Master Cosmo felt incredibly comfortable all over.

He felt several years younger.

Earlier, by observing the Lotus Painting, his cultivation had broken through to the Late Heaven-Reaching Realm, and he gained more lifespan.

Now, although he didn't break through in cultivation rank...

His body was radiating even more vitality. Master Cosmo could clearly feel that he had gained another one hundred years of lifespan out of thin air.

This was a pleasant surprise.

Although there was no breakthrough, increasing lifespan was extremely difficult.

After all, with a longer lifespan, he would have enough time to pursue higher realms.

After this, Master Cosmo would no longer be troubled by his approaching end.

"I... I can still eat more!"

Master Cosmo wanted to continue eating.

He figured it out.

As long as I eat more, there will definitely be benefits.

Whether it was a cultivation breakthrough or lifespan extension, he needed them all.

For this.

Even if his belly burst, he would grit his teeth and keep eating.

Quinn was speechless.

"Ahem. Old sir, your appetite is astonishing. But you two have finished all the rice I have."

Quinn brought out the empty rice pot.

Seeing this, the master and disciple felt both regret and relief.

"Master... I'm a little stuffed."

"Don't talk. I want to vomit too."

Seeing their painful expressions, Quinn didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

"Here, take some Digestion Tablets."

Quinn took out two small pills.

He made these himself.

Of course, under the System's guidance.

"Digestion Tablets?"

Master Cosmo and Sia looked confused.

But since they were gifts from the Expert, they must be extraordinary items.

The master and disciple each swallowed one.

Not long after, their stomachs felt much better.

After circulating their spiritual energy, the discomfort was almost gone.

"Thank you, Young Master Ye!"

Master Cosmo led Sia to bow respectfully to Quinn.

Quinn waved his hand. "Old sir, you can't eat like this in the future. You'll ruin your body."

He looked at Sia.

"You should persuade your Master more. Don't just gorge yourself along with him."

The master and disciple were extremely embarrassed.

If your food wasn't so delicious and didn't increase cultivation and lifespan, we wouldn't have eaten so much.

But on second thought, Quinn's words probably had a deeper meaning.

Master Cosmo pondered for a moment. Suddenly, he understood.

"The Expert is warning me: Haste makes waste. Don't bite off more than you can chew!"

Instantly, Master Cosmo was filled with shame.

He had cultivated for so many years; he should have understood this principle long ago.

But facing temptation just now, he lost his composure and exposed his weakness completely.

Truly disgraceful.

An Expert is indeed an Expert.

He saw through me completely and reminded me so tactfully.

"I will remember the Young Master's advice."

Master Cosmo bowed solemnly to Quinn.

After the meal, Master Cosmo and Sia didn't stay long and chose to bid farewell.

Their trip was a success. They met Quinn Ye and gained a lot.

It was worth it.

Quinn walked them out of the courtyard and watched them descend the mountain.

At the foot of the mountain, Master Cosmo looked back at Cloud-Drifting Mountain with deep emotion.

"I never imagined... The Expert in this mountain is so extraordinary. He truly opened my eyes today."

"Master, since the Expert lives here, why don't we visit often? Maybe we can get more guidance?" Sia suggested.

Master Cosmo's face sank.

"Absolutely not!"

Sia was stunned. "Why?"

"The Expert lives in seclusion here for peaceful cultivation, and more importantly, to play the game of the mortal world as an ordinary person."

"Didn't you notice? From beginning to end, he never claimed to be an Expert, nor did he discuss cultivation."

"Perhaps this Expert has reached such an unfathomable realm that he has forgotten his own existence and truly considers himself a mortal."

Master Cosmo's eyes showed reverence.

"If we disturb him often, we might ruin his state of mind. If the Expert becomes displeased, that would be a grave sin!"

Hearing this, Sia felt her Master made a lot of sense.

"Disciple was foolish."

Master Cosmo looked at her. "Good that you understand."

Just as the master and disciple were about to leave, they saw a woman approaching from the distance.

The woman also saw the pair and looked puzzled.

"Are you two coming down from Cloud-Drifting Mountain?"

The woman stepped forward and bowed. It was Bella Bai.

"Yes. Are you going up the mountain?"

Sia looked at Bella. Seeing that she was so young and beautiful, Sia's expression became a bit strange.
